Like the LaMotta thread, who would you pick to KD or KO Oliver McCall. Tyson?, Marciano, Liston?

Nobody knocks him out. He could take any shot, but a big puncher like Tyson could stop him with an accumulation of punches. I remember when Olli signed to fight David Tua, I said to myself this is going to be fun, but he pulled out of the fight.:?

Would have been interesting to see him in there with Klitschko.

Tyson would have never mind the sparring rumours and Lennox Lewis if he comes correct because he wasnt really going for it in their fight, maybe Foreman. McCall does have a great chin but Bruno had him quaking and going into a shell so a relentless attack will eventually see him crumble imo

    The likely suspects:

    Langford, Dempsey, Louis, Tyson.

Louis would be my top pick. McCall's chin wouldn't be the only place he would be tested. Louis has the best offensive arsenal at any weight.

    Not Mike Tyson.

Sonny Liston would have a good shot, but Joe Louis in particular because he had the patience.

He didn't seem to like the body shots that Tyson landed on him.

McCall says the most he was ever hurt was against Bruno and even then he was hardly ready to go, just a little stunned.

Tyson would but Maybe Foreman even though Holyfield said old Foreman punched harder than Tyson? McCall was never a really agressive fighter so he wasnt open to be hit with a lot of big punches. The man had a good chin no doubt but as I said in a previous post, every single boxer who lived can be knocked out.

5'6 180lb Langford? And 190lb Dempsey? They were weaklings compared to McCall and would have to watch their Ps and Qs if they were going to win

If you hear it without the music you can hear McCall complaining about the body shots, he just couldnt handle Tyson

TheGreatA you are an awesome source for fights, documentaries, and videos to pull up. Just a snap of the finger and you can find pretty much anything. Very resourceful I must admit, and you have a great youtube channel.

McCall claimed it was about 5-5 in the knockdown count between himself and Tyson in sparring.
