@ 155, i will rank them in the best chance they have of winning. Id still favor Frankie in all of these though

    1)gilbert Melendez
    2)Shinya Aoki
    3)Eddie Alvarez

dont see any ufc lws being able to stop him TBH

Frankie is amazing. I felt he was more hurt this time than last time. His body looked in complete shut down. He went comatose/zombie like and was literally holding on by a thread. I feared the inevitable but Frankie is the man. He is the killer of giants. He is significantly smaller than the likes of Penn and Maynard but what they have in size he has in recovery and endurance.

I was really happy to see him reverse the first round with a stoppage of his own rather than win on points.

People were high on Maynard but no one considered that if Gray doesn't go all out then he doesn't look as good and is easier to overcome. If he does go all out, he gasses. Fighters can often look amazing when they are in gear 5 but that is merely a wave as it can't be maintained.

Frankie looked incredible, he is incredible but unfortunately for him his division is stacked. Next up is Ben Henderson who is a straight up killer. Hendo is big, strong, powerful, fast, flexible, agile, skilled etc etc etc

Then theres Melendez and Miller/Pettis can come again, not to forget Guida, maybe Alvarez, Aoki and Aldo is no longer a 145 fighter.

    What about your boy Gilbert?

Obviously, Maynard could get the job done.

He is 1-1-1 with the champion.

hes gonna get beat some time. you dont get rocked like that on 2 occasions back to back and suddenly fix it. he'll get stopped by someone, but it'll be damn hard. I think that the person who beats him wont be an obvious one. it'll be a flash ko that will shock. i dont think anyone can outpoint the guy.

I'd still favour Melendez and Alvarez if they hurt Frankie like Gray did they'd stop him.

Maynard I reckon i mean he did already and was so close twice

i think a better finisher could do it, i mean maynard had him in trouble if he just took down the wobbled edgar than he could hit him at will on the ground rather than chase him around

maynard beat him up bad in the 1st but then he had no idea how to bring to edgar

edgar in 2-4 was mobile and maynard seemingly was just standing there getting picked apart and waiting to land a home run

maynard didnt know how to get to edgar when edgar gave him footwork he only knew how to capitalize on mistakes or a stationary edgar

i think any guy that can deal with movement and can hurt him and is a smarter finisher can do it

Frankie is a small 155er who was in that division when there was no 145 in the UFC and he's basically fighting a WW after Maynard rehydrates guys

    EDIT http://fighthype.com/pages/content5634.html

Says there that Grey walks around at 184. Now I bet he's nowhere near the 180's come fight night but that's still a significant advantage over a guy who weighs in at 154 and cuts no weight at all

Might explain the sudden punching power dont y'all think
