I can't say I agree with you in regards to being stronger. Joan has fought as low as 122 pounds, where as Diaz is a big and natural 135 pound fighter. Juan reguarly pushes his opponents back, and is relentless in his pressure. On the other hand Guzman is regularly pushed back, and has show little strength or power in recent times. Good lateral movement, and counter punching will beat Juan. Head movement doesn't help agaisnt combination punchers who are great at attacking the body. Guzman isn't a good enough mover, or a powerful enough puncher to stop him from getting inside. I agree he has the best chance, but even then it will not be enough. I see him getting stopped late. Someone like Junior Witter could give Juan Diaz a very very tough fight.
Can't say I completely disagree with you. Its just that Guzman is so used to being backed up and counterpunching that Diaz coming to him will be what he wants anyways (no secret there though). Guzman has underrated power imo. Its there, but he is a slick boxer and chooses to fight smart over brawling, like Mayweather. He hasn't shown it any time recently but honestly I think he is underrated in the power department (for the people that say he has NO power, that is). And you have to admit that Diaz doesn't have much on his punches. Neither is a hard puncher imo. Anyways though I would expect Guzman to frustrate Diaz in the early going by slipping quick counters in before and after his flurries while using as much of the ring that he can to slow Diazs' workrate. His uppercuts would be huge, as I have seen Diaz open to them many times in the past but never exploited. Imo the big question is how long Guzman can do it for, cause if he starts to get noticeably tired then he is screwed cause Diaz doesn't know what that word means. I am about 90% sure that Guzman can frustrate him early, but like I said: can he keep it up? Cause Diaz is as mentally strong as they come, so that frustration isn't going to make him change anything he does, and it won't keep him down for very long in the fight. Great matchup.
pac does have a very good shot at j. diaz. pac may be a slugger but he slugs mostly in the outside. diaz on the other hand relies on short crisp inside combos to slowly punish his opponents to submission. pac has an in and out style which relies on very fast hand/footspeed both for inside and outside fighting. on the oither hand, j. diaz may have fast hands when doing inside fighting but his outside punches are of normal speed. add to this is that the baby bull has a sort of a plodding style and his footspeed is average at best so he'll be hard-pressed to keep up w/ pac's fast in and out style.
Eventually I think Kahn can. But as of right now, it is none of the above. Eventually it is going to take someone at a higher weight to do it.
babybull too strong too active although a fight between him and paquiao assuming paquiao brings his power with him will be very interesting
:thumbsup I think so too.. Pac can stand a chance. Roach will just have to make a very good fight plan though..
