I like watching Vitali. He's got an ugly style also :yep but he's entertaining. Like I mentoined before though, both of their fights can get dull because of how much better they're over their opponent and the opponent may just go and try to survive. Which I don't blame the brothers for. Like this fight. I don't fault Wlad for it. He was trying to KO him, but Peters was trying hard just to stay on his feet [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3hrEkCvheU&feature=related[/ame]
Did you post on here years back under the name Kurt Vonnegut? He had a similar background to you and always referred to posters as "Nazi" and Klan members whenever they supported the Klitschko's or offended his fragile sensibilities...
lol . . . no, have you ever really read your post and think how they might be offensive? I challenge you to go back and read what you have said. I guess when you guys get together your true colours show and you forget (or dont care) that you are on an open forum. Some of the things that I have heard on these boards sound like they came right out of the 60s . . . I thought Europe was more progressive than North America, but it sounds worse than the American south. I do remember Kurt
as much as the klit nut huggers do any me..so do the klit haters..i mean how can you hate fans of the k bros for so called disrespect of the atgs when u urselves show disrespect to the champions of today..its ****ing anoying..no1 knows who would have won but saying idiodic things like stupid members on this board say is ****ing ******ed..ali wouldnt kill vitali he wouldnt kill wlad either would tyson or holmes.they would all be very intresting match ups..theres nothing wrong with having opinions but blatent disrespect comes from klit haters more than it does from there nut huggers..and wats more anoying is most of the haters dont even hate them because of there boxing which is the sadest thing of all..and yet there the ones who shout the race card alot which is ironic lol...
It's a joke alright, but I love how each Klitschko victory deeply personally effects these individuals for months at a time. I envisage quite a few more tough years for these sad **** mothers basement dwellers, long may it continue.
Well if you were in the UK for his recent title fight you would have seen Wlad won over even the English fans and came across as an international superstar, he wooed the English in such a way that a sizable amount of those people were backing Wlad to win, a real showman, pure show biz. Set a new record for PPV and of course destroyed David Haye with ease practically winning every round. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsGtKjVU_NI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsGtKjVU_NI[/ame] Wlad winning over the English, what a showman, what a guy, what a credit to the sport.
Okay, so taking your word for it we have: Germany, UK, and I assume some of Eastern Europe. That doesn't exactly come across as an "international superstar" to me but whatever.
So then Mayweather isn't exactly an "international superstar" due to only being really well known in the States. Besides Wlad is well known around all of Europe, not just some of Eastern Europe, he is the heavyweight champion of the World after all.
No, he's not and I never claimed him to be. I wouldn't be surprised if he's known throughout Europe especially by sports fans but is he "well known" as you've stated? He's been shown on HBO quite a bit in the states sometimes drawing over a million viewers so obviously he is known to an extent but the average person on the street isn't going to know who he is and that's the type of popularity I'm thinking of when "well known" comes to mind. There's no shame in being popular in only Germany, UK, and Eastern Europe which is more then can be said for most fighters but I just think the extent of their popularity is being overstated.
They aren't international superstars, their main fanbase and recognition comes from Germany & Eastern Europe, relatively small players on the global boxing stage without the brothers. There are only a few boxers that achieve true Superstar status, and the brothers aren't among them.
