I haven't really seen any actual arguments. It's mostly just hot air about how GGG was the Champ, saying he was robbed, etc. Some GGG fans don't even admit it was close, or debatable. GGG fans really live in a bubble when it comes to him. They burn the candle on both ends on the one hand claiming that the first match was such a clear GGG win, citing media and some fighters opinoins, without ever really getting into the scoring itself, at the same time they say GGG was old. The river of excuses and complaining never ends.

He was passed his prime and still won by at least 4 points, its not that complicated.

According to what criteria? GGG won by 4 points because he was the Champ so any remotely close round needs to be scored for him? That's not winning, that's premeditated scoring trying to make him better than he actually was. With this attitude, GGG could do no wrong and would always end up the victor. On an objective basis, Canelo won rounds 1-3 & 10-12 for starters. And rounds 4-6 each of which are splitting hairs as to who should have won. So 1-3 & 10-12 plus any one of rounds 4-6 for Canelo each of which are splitting hairs, Canelo wins. Even a 10-10 for either round 4, 5 or 6, Canelo wins. It's hard to come up with a GGG winning card without giving him gift rounds.

    oh come on.

Do you think most boxing observers are wrong? Virtually everyone saw it as a robbery

Canelo won a maximum of 4 rounds in their first fight. Max. You cannot give him more than 4 rounds. It was a blatant robbery.

Its been a while since i have scored it

    A maximum of 4 rounds?

You'd have to really be trying hard to score rounds for GGG to give GGG rounds 1-3 or 10-12. Rounds 4-6 were also very close and are pretty much toss-ups. The math just doesn't add up to a GGG win. The robbery idea was mainly based on Byrd's card.

Yes, a maximum of 4 rounds. GGG won rounds 2 and 3, and 12.

Round 4 was a tossup? The same round when GGG had Canelo against the ropes, landed a hard right which had Canelo shaking his head and pretending he wasn't hurt.

Rounds 4-9 were a whitewash. GGG won all of them. Nothing about any of them was a toss up or debatable.

No the she triggered it, her & Bennet. Then we had the two ped infusion cheating incidents where he was severely dealt with by receiving a whole 6 months ...as he fights twice a year anyway. So cycled down he enters the fray to more scientism...apart from you suckling on his ass...Man you have Zero cred here...any wonder ??!!

Wow, 2, 3 and 12 were Canelo's best rounds. If you give GGG those rounds you'll probably have it 12-0 GGG. Take a look at this fan poll -

    https://www.eyeonthering.com/boxing/gennady-golovkin-vs-saul-alvarez

As you can see, according to the averaged fan card, rounds 2, 3 and 12 are the most lopsided Canelo rounds out of any of the rounds.
That was Round 5 when GGG landed that shot with Canelo on the ropes and Canelo shook his head. Round 4 Canelo went back to the ropes without getting hit remember.
LOL a "whitewash" you must be joking. Rounds 7-9 were clear GGG rounds, but not 4-6.

This is why after a while nobody bothers with you. You don't "debate" or "take a closer look at rounds", you just put up a giant wall of text nobody really wants to read that says very little.

You say round 2, 3, and 12 were lopsided for Canelo according to the averaged fan card, and that round 4-6 weren't clear GGG rounds, when by the same link you posted rounds 4-6 are more in favor of GGG than rounds 2, 3, and 12 are in favor of Canelo.

Also note, by that same site, GGG vs Alvarez 2, 67% of fans scoring disagree with the official result.

I'll ignore this and just respond to your actual points.
Very true, and there are reasons for this. GGG upped his workrate in rounds 4-6 and started having more success than he did in rounds 1-3. Still though, the rounds were close. If you go through some of the scores, not many gave rounds 4-6 to Canelo but several cards did have those as 10-10 rounds. I understand that most saw these as close but clear rounds for GGG, but my point is that they were each close, and much more even than rounds 7-9. If you look at Compubox #s, rounds 4-6 are close in terms of landed punches, with Canelo landing at a higher % in each of those rounds. Not that Compubox can be relied on or anything, but they do indicate those rounds were relatively even.

My theory on why so many fans scored 4-6 to GGG was that people were suprised ast how well Canelo did in the first 3 rounds, and saw that GGG started to do better in rounds 4-6 and felt that GGG did enough to win those rounds. Also Canelo went back to the ropes in rounds 4 and 5, and many used this as a reason to score rounds 4 and 5 to GGG since going in the narrative was that going back to the ropes vs GGG is a "no-no". My point isn't that it's unreasonable to score rounds 4-6 to GGG, only to say that each of those rounds could be argued for Canelo, as I did for round 4 but not round 5 which I gave to GGG. His argument was that Canelo won a "minimum" of 4 rounds which doesn't jive with the fan scoring as the fans on averaged had Canelo winning 6 rounds, with in my view as 4-6 as pretty much toss-ups. You say "how are those toss-ups" if they were so overwhelming for GGG, I'm saying I don't agree with the fan scoring of those rounds, watching those rounds each of them are arguable for either fighter, as they were each very even, and were far from a "whitewash" but the fan scoring is what it is and I accept that people saw those as GGG rounds, even if I don't agree with it, but there's a difference between giving GGG rounds 4-6 vs giving him rounds 2, 3 or 12 which unlike 4-6 most most agree are Canelo's best rounds.

Very true, because of how lopsided rounds 4-9 were according to the fans, and how relatively closer rounds 1-3 & 10-12 were. But boxing is scored on a round by round basis, and my argument isn't to say that GGG winning is unfathomable, my argument is simply to point out how debatable the scoring is and how the fans by and large gave Canelo 6 rounds.

Good that you made a screenshot, in case the #s change. I am not interested in providing a scorecard to change the numbers. The reason why it's important is because those scores appear to be fans who scored it real-time back when it happened.

Majority of people had the first fight 116-112 for GGG.
2nd fight was more disputed, could be anything from 117-111 GGG to 114-114, no way did Canelo win either fight, you have to be really biased or not count jabs as scoring shots to have Canelo as the victor in either fight

It's not about counting jabs, it's about clean punching, ring generalship, defense, effective aggression. Canelo landed more of the clean, flashy heavy shots in both matches. GGG threw more punches, but he wasn't as accurate of a puncher in either match when it comes to the big, heavy shots, the shots with impact, that matter. Outside of round 7 in the first match, a round that GGG landed some really stiff jabs, in most of the other rounds GGG was not landing hard jabs, they were mostly range finding jabs that weren't landing clean. The upper body movement were slipping most of them.

And remember, before they fought, GGG wasn't expected to beat Canelo by out-jabbing him, he was expected to land big punches on Canelo and hurt Canelo. It never happened. As Roy Jones pointed out after the first fight, it was Canelo who landed the big shots, not GGG. That was telling as that was the opposite of what most expected to happen. And FYI in several of the rounds in the first match, Compubox had the jabs landed even and with Canelo landing jabs at a much higher percentage. (rounds 2, 4, 5, even 7, a round that GGG landed a lot of stiff jabs but the overall numbers of jabs landed were about even according to Compubox) In addition, Compubox had Canelo out-jabbing GGG 7-to-4 in round 6 and landing jabs at a much higher percentage that round. So all this needs to be taken into consideration. So if you want to count jabs, then you'd have reasons to score round 4 and 6 in the first match for Canelo, rounds that were seen as GGG rounds.
