Good, you scored this round correctly.
Most people disagree with you on these rounds. You're in the minority on how you scored these rounds. Round 2 was a clear Canelo round. You scoring that even is mad. Round 3, most fans and Lederman the unofficial scorer gave that to Canelo, but 2 judges inexplicably gave that round to GGG. Pretty clear round for Canelo there. 2 judges must have given GGG that round to "keep it close" or maybe "because he was the champ" or some BS. Corrupt judging if you ask me.
You're describing round 10, not 11. Round 11 had a different ebb and flow to it than round 10. The crowd went wild with those early fireworks in round 10. I'll have to watch it back but I'm not sure GGG landed as many good or clean shots in the last 2 minutes than Canelo did in the first minute. Most saw it as Canelo building a big lead in the first minute then coasting in the final 2 minutes and not allowing GGG to equalize. You're saying GGG landed numerous heavy power jabs and an equal amount of big hooks. I'll have to take another look.
Describing what happened in round 10 then trying to apply it to round 11 and 12? Most people gave Canelo round 11 and especially round 12. Some gave GGG round 11, less gave him 12.

You seeing any of those as GGG rounds, you're in the minority, it sounds like you're trying to find things to give these round to GGG rather than just scoring them straight up. But regardless, it's not unreasonable to score any of rounds 1-3 & 10-12 to Canelo which is the main point. If you want to nickel and dime these rounds as possible GGG rounds that's OK, but don't tell me there's anything wrong with scoring all these rounds to Canelo. And before you say that scoring each of 1-3 & 10-12 for Canelo is scoring all the close rounds for him, you also have rounds 4-6 which 2 judges gave each to GGG, and any one of those could have gone to Canelo.
You're a GGG fan, and you have difficulty scoring rounds objectively. That's OK, but just understand that someone like me isn't a fanboy and scores rounds based on who did the better work. 1-3 & 10-12 to Canelo. Rounds 4, 5, 6 toss-ups.

I literally scored these rounds today and mate you have no idea what you're watching, like at all, but you like to think you do. It's laughable that you talk about objectivity. you have zero objectivity and minimal understanding of clean punching. And rounds 10, 11 and 12 were similar with Canelo landing flashy shots in the first 30, 40 seconds followed by heavy Golovkin jabs and heavy hooks/right hands by Golovkin. You're literally a dumb Canelo fan who wets his knickers everytime he lands a flashy air expelling punch to Golovkins gloves. Pitiful really.

And also you're appeal to the casual masses is just invalid. I'm a fan of boxing not Golovkin, I don't give a damn about Canelo or Golovkin. You're quite blatantly a fan of Canelo and his make belive fantasy scoring criteria.

Golovkin wins rounds 3, 10, 11. Canelo wins round 1 and 12 (being generous), and 2 is a draw at best for Canelo. Arguing rounds 1-3 and 10-12 is borderline autistic. I feel like there is zero point debating with you because you literally make **** up in your head that didn't happen in the fight

Cool story. You said you're interested in a debate. But then you reduce yourself to -
Do you want a debate or not? Calling me dumb isn't going to win you any points. For some reason you keep coming back for more. My stance is that Canelo won rounds 1-4 & 10-12. Round 5 I gave to GGG, round 6 was very even. GGG just didn't win enough rounds clearly. You talk about clean punching but Canelo was landing the clean more impactful shots. Even RJJ said that Canelo landed the bigger shots while GGG landed more. Bigger/flashy/clean whatever you want to call it Canelo was landing more of the eye-catching shots. His upper body movement was slipping a lot of GGG's shots taking the sting off them while GGG was running into well placed counters. That's boxing 101. If you can't see that, I can lead a horse to water but I can't make him drink. GGG was getting visibly frustrated at times, which is what started the whole Canelo not fighting Mexican Style narrative which ended up being GGG's demise.

The difference is I accept the judges scoring. I accepted the first fight as a draw given how many rounds are hard to score and I accepted the rematch as a Canelo win. I'm not calling either result a robbery. All I can do is help you understand why Canelo winning the first match or having it a draw is reasonable. If you disagree and you want to debate that, than I'm happy to do so. But insutling me and calling me dumb or a fanboy isn't debating.
All we've heard since the fight ended has been an appeal to the casual masses. How every poll, how ringside media had it so overwhelming for GGG. I'm bringing up this fan RBR scoring site because it is interesting to look at the data of how fans scored it round by round. There's only so many ways to argue over who won.

You're appeal to a historically terrible commentator in Roy Jones to back up your idea of Canelo landing the cleaner shots is irrelevant. All commentators often have no idea what they're watching and you see this a lot with them missing punches and calling scuff punches. Irrelevant also is your constant appeal to the masses, which so happen to have, in majority, scored the fight for Golovkin.

Again how can I explain to you, punching or slapping with the inside glove is not clean punching nor is punching elbows nor is grazing shoulders nor is punching gloves. Its pretty simple really.

In rounds 10 and 11 youre ignoring all of Golovkins work and siding with the judges (are you also siding with judges who majority scored round 3 for GGG) Rds 10/11 Canelo landed clean blows in the first 30-40 seconds yes, but Golovkin landed equally clean power punches + power jabs. And for that reason you're giving Canelo the round for 30-40 seconds despite Golovkin equalling the power hooks and then the constant power jab that was quite obviously having an effect on Canelo. In summary Golovkin landed more clean effective punches and quite clearly the ring general (which is a far less important dsctor for me than actually landing punches) .

And I'm calling you a fanboy because you literally deny things that actually happened in the fight.

I had it round 1 even, rounds 2 and 3 for Canelo, rounds 4 -11 GGG round 12 Canelo. The fight in totality extremely competitive, Canelo did way better than most anticipated. 8-3-1 GGG.

My constant appeal to the masses? I'm the one who's been countering the appeal to the masses all this time. GGG fans continue to argue that GGG won because "look at the polls, look at the ringside scorers, etc". You must not have been paying attention, because all along I've been the one trying to go into detail about what happened in rounds. So I'm glad you're trying to review specific rounds, that's what I've been trying to do as well. The eye on the ring fan scorecards provide some insight round-by-round that gets lost in the "who won" polls or opinions that are often lacking in detail about how specific rounds are scored.
Well I don't think these rounds were particularly easy to score.
Rewatched Round 10 from the first match - I just watched it back. 35 seconds into the round Canelo landed a left-right combo and after the right hand GGG was hit so hard he was seeing stars, he lost his balance trying to counter and was skillfully blocked by Canelo, GGG stumbled off to the left. That got a big crowd reaction, like whoa GGG is hurt! Some of the follow-up shots by Canelo were blocked, but some got through. 2:18 on the clock right uppercut, left hook, right hook 3-punch combo, followed by a jab. GGG looked hurt here. Left hook by Canelo across the chin with 2:14 on the clock. Decent counter jab by GGG, landed in the neck area. Follow-up jab by GGG slipped. 2:12 both land a jab at the same time, but Canelo backs up and loads up with a huge right hook. 2:06 GGG light left hook blocked. 2:05 on the clock, both men attempt jabs, Canelo pulls back and avoids it while Canelo's lands flush. 2:04 then Canelo lands a nice right hook to the top of GGG's head as GGG tries to duck it but can't avoid it. 2:01 Canelo lands a nice inside left hook that hits GGG right across the nose, while GGG misses wildly with a left hook. GGG follows up with a light jab that lands at 2:00, then Canelo slips the follow-up hook while missing a hook of his own. GGG landed some decent shots but the biggest shots in the round were landed by Canelo.

GGG landed a ho-hum jab at 1:55, then a left hook over the top that lands on the top of Canelo's head at 1:55. These shots were OK but not anything earth shattering. The straight right hand by Canelo with 1:52 on the clock had more on it, then Canelo avoids the counter leans back on the ropes then ties him up forcing a break. Canelo's landing the clean shots, then getting out of the way or tying him up before GGG can answer.

Great jab from GGG at 1:39, that got Canelo's attention, another one at 1:36 as Canelo was on the retreat. A 3rd strong jab by GGG at 1:35. GGG landed 3 stiff jabs here, he's trying to make a comeback though he was well behind in the round at this point based on the previous 1 minute 20 seconds.

1:34 left hook to the body by Canelo, GGG felt that, he backed up and stumbled again. GGG got in some decent jabs in there, Canelo retreats towards the ropes but lands a stiff jab of his own off the backfoot at 1:02, then GGG ties him up. Lots of clinching this round. GGG lands a rabbit punch at 0:53.

Hard left hook the body by Canelo at 0:45. GGG clinches. Canelo ducks a left hook by GGG at 0:35, makes him miss wildly. Some stuff by GGG mostly blocked, a light jab got in. Big left hook by Canelo at 0:12. GGG tries to counter with a jab, then both men land hard jabs at the same time, GGG misses a follow-up right hook as Canelo pulls away. It's becoming a wrestling match in the clinch but the fans seems to love it.

GGG did land 3 stiff jabs near the middle of the round. But aside from those, the major punches were landed by Canelo, the skillful moves were all Canelo. He made GGG miss wildly at times, GGG stumbled after receiving punches on several occasions. Canelo was fatigued but he kept his composure throughout, he ate some jabs but it didn't phase him one but, he kept setting GGG up for big counters and power shots. GGG on the other hand was off-balance at times, his body language was not good this round. GGG doing a little dance sevearl times in this round after receiving punches, judges notice that. You rarely see GGG looking hurt, and you saw it in this round.

Interesting that you both had GGG winning but disagree on who won the first 3 rounds. He had Canelo winning the first, the 2nd even, and the 3rd for GGG. You say, the opposite, that round 1 was even, but Canelo won rounds 2 and 3. This is very telling. You might agree on who won, but you disagree on a round-by-round basis, on the scoring of specific rounds.

    EDIT - Round 10 of Canelo GGG 1 -
Meant to say right hook with 12 seconds left in the round. Landed clean across the nose but GGG tried to answer with a quick jab of his own which surprised Canelo, didn't have much on it though, then both landed jabs at the same time, then Canelo avoids the overhand right.

GGG landed some solid jabs in this round, but the power punching was no comparison. Canelo also got in some body punches. Canelo made GGG miss wildly several times, ducking pulling away using GGG's aggression against him, Canelo made G stumble twice, landed some massive power shots. I mean the heavy jabs by GGG made it close but the more eye-catching and damaging shots throughout the round by, Canelo. The skills on display, Canelo. Body punching, Canelo. Ring generalship, Canelo.

Scoring 7 straight rounds for GGG in a match that competitive is a bit much. But putting that aside for a minute, lets focus on rounds 2, 3 and 12. You recognize that Canelo won rounds 2, 3 and 12 these same 3 rounds that I was told by this poster GGG won -
    And rounds 2 and 3 who Quina74 says Canelo didn't win -
Just want to get this all in the same post.

Don't tell me these rounds are easy to score when ya'll can't even agree on who won them lol.

It seems that Quina74 has the first match about as lopsided as Adalaide Byrd had it, maybe even more lopsided for GGG than she had it for Canelo, apparently only scoring round 1 and 12 to Canelo, with 12 being "Generous" to Canelo while apparently giving every other round to GGG, aside from the 2nd which he deems "a draw at best" for Canelo. m.s. who recognizes how extremely competitive it was, has it quite wide for GGG with GGG winning by 5 rounds 8-3-1. There was such outrage over Byrd not seeing how close of a match it was and scoring it so wide for Canelo, but between Quina and m.s. you guys are pretty close to Byrd's margin there with your cards, only for GGG instead of Canelo.

But through all this lopsided GGG scoring, what I find fascinating is how many rounds each of you disagree on. Quina74 saw Canelo winning Round 1 because he landed the cleaner jabs. However m.s. scored this round even. Did m.s. not see Canelo landing the cleaner jabs like Quina saw??

Then we have rounds 2 and 3, which are all over the place. dmt says these are GGG rounds, m.s. says these are Canelo rounds. Quina74 isn't too sure about round 2 but contends GGG won round 3. And round 12, dmt says GGG, but m.s. and even Quina says that was a Canelo round. Before you start coming at me for my view of the match, maybe you should talk amongst yourselfs why ya'll can't seem to agree on who won any of these rounds.

Eh, of the ones that might realistically come to pass? I guess that Murata slugfest is still on my wishlist, and is more competitive now on paper than it would've been a few years ago when both were unbeaten. :nusenuse:

I only read up to GGG was seeing stars and had to reply. Canelo pushed GGG'S arm up and ducked it, and GGG was off balance because of this, everybody thought GGG might be hurt but he wasnt. It was a slick little move nothing more. They show it on the replay.GGG was never hurt in either fight. Canelo was hurt in rnd 10 of fight number 2 maybe even round 11 as well.

Shadow111 really does have a problem. He is besotted by Canelo & refuses to listen to any criticism of him. Its really not that healthy. He needs to get out more
