No. There is no other version. Ali was an outfighter, and Robinson was the archetypal boxer-puncher with a tremendous emphasis on Puncher considering he had arguably the greatest offense ever. Where is Ali's two-fisted power? His savage body attack? Simply because Robinson also circled the ring and worked behind a jab - before Unloading the wrath of God - doesn't make them similar.
Many writers back my opinion, Ali is the closest thing SRR as a Heavyweight. I totally agree with what you are saying but you gotta understand what I'm trying to say. If Ali had KO Power in both hands **** I would have him P4P #1.

No question! A lot of fighters were "influenced" by the greatness of Robinson.....but Ali had a style all his own.....as did Robinson. Ali didn't try to be Ray as a boxer.....he just aspired to be as great as Ray....which no one has been able to accomplish.
You honestly believe that a fighter who weighed 205 lbs in his prime, got damn near KO'd by Henry Cooper, couldnt stop the 6'5, 4 loss Earnie Terrell after he was blind in one eye due to thumbing him, got "Smoked" by the 205 lb Frazier, and got his jaw busted by Kenny Norton could actually stay in the ring with today's super heavies? You really believe that? They would have to make the ropes higher to keep him out of peoples laps at ringside. I need to do my homework?
