Ward said in an interview he would like to win the LHW WBA title. Looking at the WBA rankings the current #1 contender is Felix Valera. Valera is 14-0 13 by KO, hasn't fought since August, and he barley squeaked by Stanislav Kashtanov a veteran fighter. Perfect opponent for Ward. That's my guess on who he will fight next. The ideal opponent for Ward would have been Isaac Chilemba, but he's fighting this month and I doubt he would be ready to fight Ward by January or February.

Yeah I just noticed that when watching him fight against Kashtanov. Still a good fight if he just wants to shake off ring-rust. His second fight would have to be against an orthodox though, someone like Fonfora.
I honestly just want Ward in tough. No more Paul Smiths or whoever the hell that Murdock guy was. These guys are sparring partners.
