Marquez is with Zanfer Promotions to my knowledge. Guerrero's a far better offensive fighter than he's often credited with being. He was tremendous offensively against a decent enough fighter in Malcolm Klassen, he kept him turning and threw every punch in the book, he was wearing him down with hooks to the body from either hand and then stinging him to the head with left uppercuts in particular. If memory serves he threw over a thousand punches in that fight. Add that to his showings against Escobedo(whom he was the aggressor against, looking very good in doing so) and Katsidis and it's clear he's not the tentative guy people make him out to be. Granted, the Casamayor fight was awful, but can anyone really say that was Guerrero's fault? All Joel wanted to do was spoil for the entire fight and toss out a sharp jab or two here and there(where the KD came from, catching RG off-balance). He dictated that the only way Guerrero could work his way in was with straight shots, because if he didn't throw on the way inside he was just being held non-stop. He'd give Marquez a good fight in my opinion, but I agree with Bryn, 8-4/7-5 type decision. However, if he can force Marquez to go on the front foot he could very well win, I've never particularly rated JMM's ability to cut the ring off against a mover, and I can't imagine it's gotten any better now that he's older and even more flat-footed than he was. It's very much possible that he'd keep it at range, force Marquez to fall short and counter him with 4's and 5's. In fact I think he would do that early, but I could see JMM possibly taking it down the stretch by making adaptations and forcing Guerrero into becoming more aggressive. In my opinion, certain peeps allow consistent weight-jumping and the Casamayor fight to cloud their judgement a tad. I think Guerrero's a pretty talented fighter, and he just needs to settle at a weight to solidify that.
