Scar, you have been given the evidence on at least three occasions that HOPKINS ducked CALZAGHE in 2002, when both guys were prime.

And yet you continue to post **** like the above.

I don't feel that Jones or Calzaghe ducked each other when prime. Avoided is a better word on both their parts.

Joe has admitted what most know. Roy would have won.

    But Hopkins ?

When you willfully post that crap (I believe you had him ducking Toney at one time too), you can no longer be taken seriously.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the moron get beat up after wasting his career fighting policmen and ducking a lot of significant opposition post Toney. They should have met in 2000 after Joe had beat Sheika on Showtime or in 2004 after he had beaten Mitchell or two years prior to that when he had beaten Brewster. All fights were shown in the US and after them all Joe tried to get fights in the US but was outmaneuvered at the negotiating table. He was no nobody in the States then even though European opposition was actually better at the time IMO.

Jeez you deluded Calzaghe shills are unbelievable. What signs did JC ever show that suggested he wanted to fight in the States? You say "should have met in 2000 and 2004" as if there was some deal in place to do that. Joe was still only an obscure WBOgus titleholder around this time and meant nothing in the larger landscape.

exactly:good and the poster also referred to jones fighting policemen...well obviously Jones fought a TON of policemen since everyone keeps referring to it and not the one policeMAN we jones fans are embarassed of. Yes he fought a cop: now look at the rest of his post toney resume. Is that a joke? It's actually a very good resume the more I look at it. Not great but good. Joe was less than nobody and please be honest, no one cared about him and he didn't care about fighting anyone else. He'd occasionally made some comment about the other titlists (as if he were on their level ) but do absolutely nothing concrete. wait, are we talking about calzaghe or zolt erdei...i sometimes get them confused:huh

Roy Jones stepped up and fought a career heavyweight, Calzaghe pulled out of a fight with light heavyweight Glen Johnson on three separate occasions.

Alright, yes Joe outside of the ring was a total vindictive pr*ck who blamed everyone elso on the world for his troubles and even went as far as whining in his autobiography about some guy who threatened him with a stick on vacation when he was like 13 years old, and his divorce, how he beat up sparring partners who had the nerve to try to hit him in training and told them to **** off, how Robin Reid was not fit to pick his nose, how P'ssed he was leading up to fights so people were scared of talking to him, how Enzo p*ssed him off, how Mike Tyson p*ssed him off, how the fans p*ssed him off, how Bernard Hopkins p*ssed him off when he pulled out of a fight with him i 2002, how his school football trainer p*ssed him off by putting him on the bench the first couple of matches bla bla bla bla whine, gripe, cuss, bla bla bla.

    OK I agree.

BUT JONES IS STILL A HUGE ****!!!

Like I wrote, he had beaten Sheika when he was coming off a win over Glen Johnson (which probably was a fluke in retrospect, yes).

But obscure? eh no. And nobody said the WBO was bogus when Barrera or De La Hoya or Klitschko had that title.

They didn't? But even if the majority of people didn't, to put it into context, are you seriously trying to compare the achievements of Joe to DLH and MAB? Klitschko wasn't considered a "champ" the first time he held that strap anymore than Joe was. Many people have criticised DLH for cynically targeting WBOgus titleholders in the early part of his career.

Can people stop ****ing moaning about a retired fighter.
Just because he was not well know outside the united we dont recognise any other country states of america does not mean he was ****.
All you are doing is pointing out how ignorant you are. Christ im suprised you people even know there is another piece of land the other side of that vast bit of water that surrounds your country. Infact you probably dont unless it was broadcast on showtime or HBO.
Calzaghe did his thing them beat up 2 yank legends for cash and then retired like he ****ing said he would. Get ****ing over it.

Karma is a wonderful thing

But don't get me wrong I thought Joe looked stupid with his show boating, it just doesn't suit him but Jones did that to a lot of people in his prime and deliberately made them look ridiculous when there was no need.
