Yeah i was impressed, he made up for his lack of speed with great counter punching, hit Khan more or less at will . Did look slow but he did very well. I thought he looked very nervous as well but held himself together well

He surprised me how good he counters and his defense and chin are pretty good, Holt hit him with massive shots and didn't faze him. He has crisp counters but I can't understand why he can sometimes have such poor technique and arm swings, he could be a lot more

I certainly was. That is if I could believe my eyes. I thought he was catching Khan quite a few times all along. More than the announcers were acknowledging. Although Khan was doing a good job of not showing the effect of how good he was getting caught, but I think they were hurting him.

When Morales had the judges scorecards and saw he was far behind, he went for the KO and Garcia landed the same punch on him he landed on Khan.

RTB's right,he does deserve some credit now,but I still believe a fighter with real defensive nous and/or slickness will give him problems. He's very much a wide punching guy and whilst I've always worried that Marquez could get caught out by a far less talented fighter at 140 because it's an unnatural weight for him,I think after a few tough rounds he could catch Garcia late.
Matthyse would be a pick em purely because I think they would have a proper shootout.
Zab,despite my own feelings for him, could give Garcia real problems if he's in the mood.
It's not the division it was,and through some good matchmaking,he's reached the summit,so let's give credit along with acknowledging possible shortcomings.
And let's be honest, much as he's a bit of a *****,Angel will be entertaining.

I was. I was even more impressed for him to box out of his style knowing that it is his best gameplan bc 90% of the time he fights a lot like Khan with speed and power at a range but he knew that Khan's speed was more so he didn't fight Khan's fight and loaded up one counter bombs!

nothing surpised me about garcia, i only follow the fighters that can fight for real. i already knew about the left hook and going into the fight i knew he was going to try and land it. and i knew khan at some point would get hit with it.did not know the fight would only go 4 but not surprised. that same punch dropped morales and stopped a few other lower caliber fighters.

Wow your first post smelled funny this one just down right mirrors the stench of DKSAB. Have you ever even stepped in the wait a minute that's not even relevant....fact is 9x out 10 your punches are based of anticipation, foresight and feel....when your a counter puncher your constantly doing this and bracing yourself for incoming attacks, closed eyes, head out if place looking down at your air force ones laces can all come into play when executing such a punch....you'll absorb this info one day young grasshopper.

It's hard not to be impressed given the result.

However, my level of impressedness(?) falls somewhere between those who think it was merely a case of a puncher's chance cashing in on a lucky shot, and a brilliantly orchestrated ambush.

You could tell Garcia and Garcia were concerned heading into that pivotal 3rd round. Garcia didn't look good, seemed a bit overmatched by Khan's speed, but you could see he was getting closer with his counters, and he certainly was in the fight.

The counter punching was expected, he is a good counter puncher, but what impressed me the most about this kid was how he finished Khan he took his time and placed his shots and when the shots where not there to be had upstairs he went to the body.

You turned over in the middle of a fight when it was heating up?

This combined with you still being psychologically affected by Haye's trash talk of Wlad over 12 monts later has me asking serious questions of you iceman!!
