The website name doesn't show up. I don't think they allow you to show other sites up here.

I don't believe Mayweather avoided Cotto at all and it's impossible to say that. I've always felt fighters would fight for the most money they could get and I honestly can't fault them for that. These guys are taken advantage of at every opportunity by Promoters, networks, and others. Mayweather, Cotto, Pacquaio, and really all fighters fight for money when they have that chance and with no one looking out for them and no type of health insurance they have to.

There was an interview about a year or two ago on a website that will TALK a lot of BOXING where Arum says he would not offer Mayweather a fight with Cotto. This would have been one fight that I wanted to see that didn't happen. Luckily, we will see Mayweather-Mosley and hopefully down the line we can see him face Pacquaio and others in the future.

The thing with Cotto is he's with Arum who is basically non negotiable when it comes to a deal with Floyd. In a radio interview with RA, Floyd stated he wanted to fight Cotto. I'm aware they are just words that came out of Floyds mouth; actions speak louder than words, however it's Cotto who needed to ask Floyd to the dance. Doesn't work the other way around. Remember, it was Floyd who called out Manny since he is the current P4P king. Manny Pacquiao would rather see a needle than call out a Golden Boy fighter at this point. When you sit on a throne you make a rival stable come to you.

This is slightly off topic, but it is always so hard for me to believe that people don't understand the lunacy of coming to a forum to bash Floyd when they have a PACQUIAO AVATAR....or come in to bash Pacquiao when they have a FLOYD AVATAR. Don't people realize that nullifies their argument immediately?

When I see someone with a Pac avatar trying to bash Mayweather, I automatically assume it's a *******. When I see someone with a Mayweather avatar bashing Pac, I can assume it's a *****.

People need to learn how to at least hide their bias a little better when trying to form a legitimate argument...that's like Fox News trying to tell me Republicans are good or MSNBC trying to tell me Democrats will save the world.

That being said, Floyd has definitely done what's been best for him in his career. I don't know if you can call it "ducking" if he chose to fight Baldomir for more money AND A BELT over Margarito (he said in his "interview" with RA Rugged Man that he made $12,000,000 with Baldomir and would've made only $8,000,000 with Margarito). Were the fans robbed of some potentially great fights? Yes. Is that solidly on Floyd's shoulders? I don't think so, but that's just my opinion.

Would you personally rather step into a ring with Brock Lesnar for $8,000,000 or Janet Reno for $12,000,000 and a belt?

 I feel you bro and believe me you are not alone....Matter of fact you are in the majority. I just think this is exactly what floyd wants.....for his name to be in everyone's mouth.....to be the topic of discussion and to stay relevant in and out of the sport. He's got one big...massssssssive EGO!

To the point he comes off disrepectful, ignorant and childish...:yep But you see with his decision to act this way Floyd gets a lot more critisim than his peers....and his body of work is not as respected by the community that make up the sport....HIS SKILLS ARE! But many don't give Floyd enough credit for his accomplishments. Grant it....his fanatics do well to over compensate for a lot of the hate Floyd helps create, but Floyd is his best friend and worst enemy all wrapped up in one supremely talented, dedicated athlete and self centered "entertainer".

He forces you to love or hate the man. Some buy his PPV to witness a very talented boxer who can at times during his fights, offer the viewers a glimpse at what the art and science of boxing is made of. Others watch in hopes to wintess Floyd's jaw being re-arranged for the first time. But the bottome line people "buy" Floyd for vastly differnt reasons which means Floyd has done his job.

he said he wanted Tszyu.. but when it came time for negotiations Tszyu said Mayweather wanted all the money and made him a ridiculously **** offer, so he took the 5 million to fight Hatton.

Exactly i agree, this mosley fight is great and i give floyd lots of credit for making it, he did the right thing and most fans know this, this is a top fight and a lot better than pac v clottey on paper imo. Floyd definitely pulled one over pac, pac now looks bad for not taking the 14 day blood offer and on top of this floyd is fighting mosley, a more dangerous and better all round fighter than clottey

Cotto should have said floyds name after the mosley fight and put floyd on the spot but unfortunately he didnt, im not sure if he was advised never to mention any names post fight ring talk or that he just doesnt do that sort of thing. Floyd hates arum alrite but if the moneys rite he will make a deal, reluctantly probably

Everything is just posturing between Floyd and Arum. You don't know what to believe. Both of them act like they don't NEED eachother. Arum has NEVER seemed interested in putting Floyd in with Pac, why? Either he thinks Floyd will beat him or he wants Floyd to think he doesn't want to Pac to fight him and he has other options, to gain ground in negotiations. Follow Arums quotes after the Cotto fight all the way up until now, all negative about a proposed fight with Floyd.

Now, it is equally likely that Arum just doesn't want to risk his cash cows (Pac/Cotto) in a fight with Floyd, so then you have to look at him as a part of why Cotto and Floyd never fought also. :deal

"Floyd ducked the lineal champ at WW to fight a Margarito whose last wins were against Manuel Lopez (who?) and Kermit Cintron :)rofl)" This is the same **** Floyd's haters would've said had he fought Margarito instead of Baldo.

Yup, Floyd is pretty damn stupid :roll::roll:
