I thought it was obvious Foreman had a better chin. :huh Apparently not. Foreman was only ever knocked down when he was rusty or completely gassed. Why is Lewis so overrated nowadays on this forum? :huh

Don't you have a thread limit?

You must start about one a day.

And regarding Lewis, maybe if you didn't spend every waking minute of your life slamming his chin, people wouldn't be defending him so much.

I only "slam" his chin when biased fans such as yourself claim that his chin was not only up there with the likes of Foreman, but superior as well. It seems you still haven't voted on my thread. To Embarrassed?

I never said Lewis' chin was better than Foreman's but it's not as one sided as you make it out to be.

What I said is that if you want to use the excuses that Foreman had stamina issues againt Young and Ali and he was rusty against Lyle, then it's only fair to note that Lewis didn't train properly for ths first Rahman fight and he was on his feet before being counted out in the McCall fight.

And if only one of these two fighters is allowed to have excuses it's called an agenda.

Honestly, I've seen your post and I'll get back to it with some facts because I have to go to work right now.

Foreman obviously. An ATG chin, never was dropped in 34 fights at age 38-48, after being hit with clean punches of Gerry C*oney, prime Holyfield, Alex Stewart, Tommy Morrison's famous left hook, Michael Moorer, Lou Savarese and young Shannon Briggs.

His flash KD vs Young was obviously caused by stamina issues and off-balance position.

    Swag's infatuation with Lewis continues.

Yes Foreman had the better chin and hardly needs debating, he had one of best chins the division as seen.

Lewis had good set of whiskers on him too. Very serviceable. Somewhere between 7-8 outta 10. At or near the top of a very good division for more than a decade and only tasted canvas twice = good chin. He was hardly out cold from either stoppage either.

Rahman's punch would've done the same to most hw's especially the way Lewis was positioned when it landed, done him no favours.

Just this troll idiot would say that their chin were similar and just the same 2 idiots who said that holyfield did hit harder than ron lyle( with the stupid argument that holyfield stopped more ranked fighters... Lmao maybe it could be because evander was better overall and more accurate and skilled and still he had to land once and again and again to stop his rivals and lyle did hurt foreman with a right hand, evander had to land 100 times to hurt him)

You ignore the rest of my post but ok I will rephrase.

NEARLY ALL hw's would have been felled by that punch in those circumstances.

So yeah, I wholeheartedly disagree with what you said.

Better chins don't really address much anyway. How many toe to toe elite heavyweight brawls are there anyway?

It's defense that counts in matchups. And how one guy's defense copes with the other guy's offense. Hand placement. legs. head movement. Radar. reaction to feints. Vulnerability to countering. upper body movement, etc.

Each one of those can be as important as better chin, depending upon the opponent and that guy's ability to capitalize--and that's another can of worms itself.

Foreman by a mile. He looked like a granite cliff in a lot of his fights.

Lewis wasn't bad, above average, let's say.

Lennox lost the HW Title twice on a single punch against two different middlin' contenders. Some think an aged Holmes did enough in McCall's very next bout to regain the championship. Lyle twice powered Foreman down in a match George got up to win. LL also had a superior defense to GF.

How anyone might attempt to make a case for Lennox might be amusing though.
