It's not subjective at all. Only a ****** would think Kovalev hits harder than Joe Louis.

That's my opinion too, but true to form, there are two special individuals that voted for Kovalev. Maybe they don't know that this is a public poll?

who is greater? Broner or Hearns.. That is what this question sounds like. I don't think Kovalev is in the level of Louis at all, as we know Broner is not in Hearns level.

Joe Louis. Kovalev has to prove more.. He is heavy handed in the Juan Roldan type setting.

He will never prove he is harder hitting than Louis.

Theoretically, if he went to cruiser or heavy and knocked everybody out that would get my attention. But more likely he gets a bunch of losses instead. I like Kovalev when he boxes from behind the jab and doesn't try to force the KO. He's an excellent boxer.

It's just not going to happen tho. He'd also have to knock out a long long line of heavyweights before his hat was thrown into the ring.

Of course the classic forum lacks the continual objective debate about who has a glass jaw and who is a coward.

I beg to differ. My point is amply proven.

i voted for kovalev as a joke, of course joe hit harder, he is a proven HW knock out monster,
sergej is a proven LHW punching monster..
maybe sergej hit harder p4p, but not as a LHW agains a hard hitting HW, Louis left hook was a killer punch

Cool, no problem. :) And it's not that I don't like Kovalev, I do. It's just that it seemed super obvious to me that a bigger guy like Louis who based his game around punching holes through people at a heavier weight ... would hit harder than a boxer-puncher at a lighter weight. I put up the poll to shut a guy up, who turned out to be blind drunk at the time. Maybe his opinion is different sober! ;)

We're comparing a 175 lb. guy who went 12 with a 50 year old man to Joe Louis?
