Different types of power. Wlad is like a gun shot Foreman is like being run over by a freight train. They both kill you, just in different ways.
In general, probably Foreman. What I mean is that his punches were consistently harder than Wladimir's. Wlad is technically correct and doesn't throw the kitchen sink into every shot. HOWEVER, when Wlad does let it hang all out I'd say he may well punch harder than Foreman. That bomb that he tagged Pulev with was as hard and fast as anything I have seen.
Both men hit hard enough to get the job done to state the obvious. What isn't so obvious is who really hits harder. Based on video footage, I'd say Foreman but you need those sports science punch tests conducted on both men in their prime to get a good idea. I'd have to say though that Wladimir IMO is more of a volume puncher than Foreman.
Foreman was 6'3. And he only weighted 240 in his comeback, fat version. Prime Foreman was 220 lbs, but you know that well :good
Wlad, handily. There was a frequent hw sparring partner who talked about sparring with a lot of the top guys in the late 90's, early 2000's on some of the blogs. Pretty sure he sparred with Foreman. Said Wlad hit incomparably harder than anyone else he ever sparred with.
He was a fraud and once busted never returned. And he never claimed to have sparred Foreman. Botha said Tyson hit harder than Lewis and Wlad.
Well as you stated come backing Foreman could you explain how Haye only lasts 2 rounds yet Schulz, Briggs, Mike Jameson, Grimsley, Coetzer and Moorer all went beyond 2?
