Well if we go back beyond 2 years Margarito blows Williams away. But just for the sake of brevity I'm going by the last 2 years.

Margarito beat the better competition then Williams. Williams beat Margarito but he wasnt the best then. Margarito beat Cotto the best in the division so now Margarito is the best since he beat him.

The fact is, everybody had Floyd at #1 and Cotto at #2. Floyd retired, Cotto was #1. Margarito beat the #1, therefore IS the #1 atm (considering he was definately top 4 before anyway)

I don't think #1 will be settled unless Williams and Margarito fight again because Williams holds a win over AM. The winner of that fight wins welterweight supremacy.

I wouldnt blame him either if he fought Oscar, everyone wants to because they want the money. But I highly doubt Oscar will fight him. He wants some easier fights to close out his career and some big names, Cotto, Hatton Pacman (which is rediculous) ect. I cant see him taking on Margo, especially when he has stamina issues, that would be a hard fight for him.

Ninja Turtle? Anyway, what is the overwhelming evidence that convinces you Mayweather would come bacl to fight Margsrito when:

    1. He already turned down several offers to face Margarito the past few years
    2. He decided to retire rather then make 20 mill against DLH
    3. He retired as the WW Champ when the WW division was hot

If he's so about money, he already passed on the only guy who could pay him what he wants.

Floyd's done. Especially since Margarito won.

I remember SRL leaving the sport and then watching the Hearns v. Hagler fight and believing in himself that he could be Hagler....
Maybe Floyd Watched the fight and somewhere in his heart truly believes he can beat Margarito in the same fashion?
