So your in your fourth year as a hard core fan, I have been following this sport my entire life. it was something my father just insisted we be a part of there was no way around it.
as an amateur when you fought, in my fathers eyes you better fight or your ass is not sleeping in the house that night.

 

That doesnt matter, what the fact is DLH fans bought Tickets to that fight Floyd fans well they just were not there, probably sopcast or some **** becuase they know better than to spend money on a guy who bores the **** out of you

 

Still I don't understand how can someone say that a guy who lost once in eight years when stepping up for his first 154 pound title attempt and then another time, both of which in close decisions, that he's a nobody (?)! I mean, people can show their deepest lack of interest for a given fighter ( or fight) but they can't make judgements like that - everybody knows that Margarito is very tough and dangerous and that's why they never wanted a part of that bout... What else would be the reason for it? Show business, finantial reward, any other reason? BS!

 

Business and finacial decisions are not made by True Champions, they are made by fighters who do not care about legacy nor care about the sport Those fighters just want to fatten their bank accounts, its part of the sport as well I assume, but its not a part of the sport that earns you respect.
Margarito and Cotto will be more respected for risk they took, while Floyd will be remembered as the guy who was once rated #1P4P and yet ran for the hills and retired when it was obvious that he was going to have to fight either one of these guys if he wanted to continue being on top.

 

Thats exactly right. The only reason people come to see floyd fight is because he fights popular fighters. U know oscar,gatti, and judah. Floyds fighting style is a sure cure for insomnia. That little punk ducked everyone at ww.

I wanted to see Floyd or Oscar to lose and that would be a very interesting/amusing situation. That doesn't mean I'm a hater but the promotion for the "The World Awaits" was so annoying, I wished they both clashed heads in the first round and got terribly embarrased... That's not like wanting to see a fight like next saturday's - Cotto and Margarito will not be a thriller only if the referee penalizes someone harshly and changes the direction of the fight progress.
