Who is currently the most overrated fighter?

  1. I don't agree at all that Alexander is overrated, as he isn't rated highly at all. But you just reminded me that I forgot to list Timothy Bradley. :patsch

They're all overrated except for JuanMa and Martinez, but the most overrated is David Haye who was a good cruiserweight but has beaten absolutely nobody and I do mean nobody at heavyweight(come to think of it at cruiserweight too).He is just another typical english hypejob that has trashtalked his way into heavyweight prominence without having done a ****ing thing. What a useless ****.

Witter, faded or not, had just given Tim Bradley all he can handle, and I don't believe that shoulder BS, if he hurt it, it was because of his ******ed swinging style. And KO'ing a guy who had been known as having an iron chin, and having never been stopped is impressive, and that fight was not even. How does that warrant being overrated? Being the only legit unified champion out there basically. If you liked Alexander like you say you do, you wouldn't knock his two biggest wins to date.

outside haye the top 5 cruisers where mormeck, cunningham, maccarinelli, gurov and fragomeni. haye beat 4 of them. o'neill bell was coming off a loss and adamek was nowhere near challenging for a title. there was that huge polish guy who is now champ but i dont recall there being any call of that fight.

say what you want but he came off the floor to knock out the undisputed champ in his own back yard. he then unified against a huge domestic rival in a fight there was massive demand for.

he went to germany and beat valuev on points.

he isnt the greatest hw of all time, not even of his era, he will most likely get sparked off wlad and him against vitali, adamek or solis would probs be 50-50 at best.

but to say his career is polishing a turd shows your complete lack of understanding. you probably only saw his career from valuev onwards and then youtubed a couple of fights.

    alexander has some good wins.

but anyone could see witter had injured his shoulder, he could barely throw a punch, and resorted to just flicking out a very weak jab and holding, that is why the referee stopped it, because he told witter witter he would have to stop holding.

it is a good win, but dont detract from alexanders achievements by trying to discredit witter's injury.

you aren't doing either boxer justice there.

witter is known for having a warriors heart, and alexander has achieved enoughb without people having to make excuses for him.

how many of these "english hypejobs" have talked their way into hw prominence?

bit racist of ya that is.

did herbie hide trash talk his way to the belt? what about lewis? or bruno? did williams and skelton trash talk their way to title shots?

you dont really know a lot about the maters you comment upon.

In terms of his current p4p status, I'd have to say Donaire. There is no way he's top 5 in the world.

He's one of my favourite fighters and has the talent to be one of the best. But he has done nothing since beating Darchinyan to warrant that lofty posistion.

I wrote Haye trashtalked his way into prominence without beating anyone prominent and is a typical english hypejob.I never mentioned he's a typical english hypejob BECAUSE he trashtalked his way into prominence.Read the post again and get it right. On top of that, how do you know what race I am?

    Williams, followed by Ward.

People have been rating Williams as one of the most dangerous fighters in boxing for the last few years, however when I watched him a few times all I saw was not only a complete lack of technical ability, but a total and utter disregard for the basics. He's awkward because of his size and reach, but that's it. His latest performance in those four rounds against Cintron was just laughable.

I'll give credit to Ward for beating Kessler, but he only did it because of the filthy tactics. In another country, he probably would've got disqualified. The fact that he resorts to foul play suggests to me that he's more worried about his oppodent and has a lack of confidence in either his own boxing skills, or his chin. I have no wish to watch this man fight, his style is just ugly and he doesn't have a personality to compensate for it. The way some of the Americans that go on about his craftiness and ring IQ is just nauseating and desperate. He's a dirty ******* and a boring fighter who I want to see either outclassed by Dirrell, or eventually smashed to bits and out of the sport for good by Bute.
