Durans wins against leonard, barkley, and the LOSS to marvin hagler are better than any single achievement on pacs record.

DeJesus II vs Larios? :huh Those wins dont even compare man, Larios was a solid former titleist jumping up two divisions just as a keep busy fight for Manny. And if you meant DeJesus III, as in his second win over him, then thats nearly as wrong IMO.

What makes you think Palomino was "well past his best"?

You put Duran's wins over Minchillo and Lampkin in his others but overlook his wins over Marcel and Kobayashi before he was even champ?

Buchanan vs Morales II doesn't compare either in my judgement. Neither does Iran Barkley vs Miguel Cotto, one fighter defied all odds and logic and the other done what the vast majority of fans expected him to do.

First one I can live with because Morales is more of a legacy booster, even at that stage.

Though Kenny was the fresher and perhaps the better H2H fighter at that stage...Being the first to stop a modern great like Morales certainly adds a bit more to ones alltime status.

But I essentially agree with the Barkely comparison...Even though my man love for Cotto does make me consider that win a little closer to Duran's one then probably you do A/SK/ND.

This thread isn't still going surely? I dunno how it has any mileage. It's Duran by a mile. Next.

Dude, if memory serves, Duran got caught by one big, overhand right from Hit Man early on in that bout and subsequently got KO'd. It's not as if Hearns outclassed him for 12 rounds and then laid him out.

Regarding the question, Duran would have beaten Pac in my opinion.

Fixed. Yes, that is correct especially when you haven't fought and beaten anyone who comes within a lightyear of his skill and achievements.

it's a case of whether you appreciate a fighter jumping so many weight divisions like Pacquaio, or the dominance of a single weight division, like Duran. I side with Duran because he also knocked out a horse :)
