DeGale is a cocky, arrogant little **** wit who iritates the **** out of me the way he behaves at the end of a fight but my god the boy has some future, great talent, just a twat... bit like Nas really

degale is the goods, i've said it ever since the olympics. he's technically very good but the brit fans have took their time to warm to him because they are not overly keen on cocky, over confident fighters who run there mouths off, especially ones who have achieved nothing on the world scene in the pro ranks yet (audley harrison is still fresh in our memories after his olympic gold medal).

to say that degale hasn't had many fights, he has already been fighting a good level of domestic competition and he is looking different class to all his opponents.

he looks a nailed on future world champion, though i'd hate to see him get over-hyped before he has achieved that.

He's a very good prospect. People mentioning calzaghe mayweather and ward about his style....lol
He's nothing lol any of them. He looks most like Dirrell with a backbone.
George groves would batter him though. And that will be s great fight!

degale is good. a few months ago you was hearing afrom boxing fans about george groves who's also quite good, but degale would stop him.

alot of people don't like degale because of his braggart ways, but so far he's been able to back it up. Degale does have flaws that will be interesting to see how he does when up in the elite.

i agree, groves would get stopped. groves is an offensive boxer that has a very bad defense, and that's not good. groves is going to take alot of punches through his career, and he's already nearly lost because his defense is shocking bad, and that's far from worldclass level.

degale uses groves as a moving forward punching bag.

DeGale has really improved in the past year or so..... his pro debut was terrible and the opponent in his next fight probably shouldn't have had a licence to box, he was so bad.

But I was at the Smith fight and saw something special - he didn't just beat him, he absolutely hammered him and barely lost a minute throughout the fight.

Like BigBone says, he seems to have everything - his ring IQ is superb, he can punch and slip shots...... and our chin checkers will be pleasantly surprised when he gets hit too. Rock solid upstairs, according to a person in the know.

The Calzaghe comparison's a weird one, the Ward one is far nearer the mark. He reminds me a little of Winky Wright too.

  13. See the first time I saw him I said he reminded me of Joe. Remember Joe was a natural counterpuncher before being the swarmer people remember.

I think the style will change away from joes (already doing so) into a mix of ward/mayweather.

Fantastic fighter though, and has the potentiL to achieve anything he wants!
