That's a big statement. I see him as a more "smarter" fighter than Kirkland. But All around Superior...WOW, THATS A BOLD-ASS STATEMENT. Rubio is not bad....but I would rather see him versus an opponent with a PULSE!!! Rubio has almost 60 Pro Fights is Battle-worn and his style plays right into what Lemieux wants to do. Rubio has a nice win streak after his loss to Pavlik, but they were are in Mexcio. This is another early-night of work for Lemieux...He needs some rounds and fighters like Ishe Smith, Mike Walker, Derrick Findley, Brian Vera would have been a much better teast...Someone that will make Lemiuex go rounds. How do we know how he performs in the laters rounds if he's only matched versus fighters that he BLOWS RIGHT THROUGH in 1 or 2 rounds. You can't learn anything from fighting fighters like that.

Russ Anber is the reason Lemieux has an edge over Kirkland, in mostly everything. Kirkland is there to be hit, where as Lemieux will only take a hit flush if he's positive he's gonna stick one himself. Punch for punch, especially considering David is a better in-fighter and is learning to counterpunch better as he racks fights up, Lemieux will end up doing more damage to world class opposition once he reaches his peak.

I like Kirkland, we need more of those guys, but Lemieux will be something special. He's 22 FFS, let's wait another 2 years and see who's at what level. :D

I really hope Kirkland will, and will be rooting for him to take over 154. However, I think David will probably have the better carreer when its all said and done, for one reason, or another, I could name a few.

We will see though. War Kirkland.
