    if floyd v hatton was made at 140 not 147 the result would have been the same.

    It would have been a little bit worse for Hatton at 140. Floyd didn't get better each time he moved up.

    This thread is about who was better at 140,not whose competition was better.Outside of 2 fights,Hatton always fought at 140.Mayweather only three times.However does anyone really believe that at 140,Hatton beats Floyd?Nonsense.Mayweather started his career at 130.His best weight was probably 135.At 140 he beats Hatton easier than at 147.

    Why? The weight wouldn't have been any different. Floyd would have weighed the same, so would Hatton, it would be the same scenario. However if Hatton actually fought the 140 pound version of Floyd from 2004/5, although that version of Floyd was slightly smaller and less accustomed to the higher weights, he was a better fighter and would have smashed Hatton anyway.

    What are you actually saying? Are you suggesting although Pacquaio isn't as accomplished at 140, he has already proven himself to be more able there? I am confused as to what you actually mean.

    If the question is truely 140lbs then Hatton is the answer

    Hatton vs Floyd at 140, hmm really tough call which i dont need to answer since that isnt the Q

    There's nothing tough at all to call about it.

    The only thing "tough" is to figure out if Mayweather wins by late stoppage or UD.
