    Even in the US i think Pac is probably passing him up, hes definitely the more likeable guy. Most people i know are rooting for Pac... Even girls i know who no nothing about boxing all know who pacquiao is.

    I think its mayweather in the Us, he is a American and also appears on tv a lot for things that have nothing to do with boxing.
    In the world, pacman #1 though.

    pacquiao .. worldwide and in the USA. Floyd used to be a bigger star but Pac has surpassed him and Floyd's inactivity and childish behavior doesn't help him.

    I think Pac edges Floyd over here. It seemed to me like Hatton-Mayweather was a bigger event here, but the way Pac steamrolled Hatton and fighting regularly since then has kept him more relevant. Obviously he is more popular

    As a random example, when Pac was fighting Margarito a girl on my Facebook posted a status asking who Pac was fighting. This girl is an air headed bimbo (but hot) who I wouldn't have expected to know a single thing about the sport, so Manny is obviously bigger here than I thought he was

    It's close right now. Depends on if Floyd fights this year and with whom. Otherwise Pacquiao will surpass him.

    Maybe Floyd is a big deal in the states, but his out of the ring antics have never made the news here as far as I'm aware. Floyd is a media figure in the US but an inactive boxer to the rest of the world.

    Remember the US population is only about 4.5% of the world population

    Pac is the bigger star. Floyd is the bigger draw....whether u like him or not, its a win win for him.

    Yeah. Maybe it's true that a lot of people watch Floyd fight in the hopes of seeing him lose, in which case he doesn't have "more fans" per se. Pac on the other hand, people watch him because they want to see him fight, his fights are entertaining, so he has "more fans."
