29 votes, and about 2.5 actual reason based posts.

I should have made a thread about the Andrade/Bute purse split. That might have attracted more "boxing fans."

neither are very versatile, but both very good at their one thing. Kessler is a little more resilient. Pavlik is a stronger puncher.

Who knows what Pavlik will look like by the time he actually fights a top fighter again.

"If" he fights a top fighter again.?

Isn't the world supposed to end in 2012?

    He better hurry up.

So you think Pavlik would have done any better agains fighters like Calzaghe and Ward?
Pavlik's only claim to fame is ****ing Taylor, Kessler would easily beat someone like Taylor.

Kessler isnt great, but to say he isnt world class is simply dumb.

Actually Kessler's problem is that he DOESNT know how to come forward. Hense why Ward beat him so easily. Mikkel needs guys who come at him, which Froch will do.

Pav fights better coming forward than does Kessler, but Pav cant be effective if you 1. Back him up or 2. Give him angles.

Xplosive, right here in this thread you've been forced to retract a previous statement in regards to how good Kessler (wasn't). That's ****ing DUMB, buddy. I understand you're a Kessler FAN. That's pretty easy to see. How well you see him, as a fighter, is in serious question at this point. You OBVIOUSLY didn't get it before. You don't get it now. Neither.

none of the above. Both have been exposed and will be further exposed by slick boxers.

Theres a big differance between being world class and being great, genius. To call Kessler great is overrating him, but to say he isnt world class is a knee jerk reaction, and discredits Ward. Kessler is a world class fighter who simply got beat by two guys who proved to be better. One a HOFmer, and the other who one day could be a HOFmer.

Pavlik's a huge middle weight who just walks his opponents down. At 168 I'd pick everyone from the super six over him except Taylor of course. I'd also pick Bute, Andrade, and Bika to beat Pavlik. At 160, there's just nobody around who can take his punch and give him one back at the same value. I think people are being a bit premature in writing Kessler off.

Right... Ward is the second coming. I'm sure. My view of Kessler has NOTHING to do with Ward. You don't have a qualified reason to say Kessler is more complete than Pavlik, yet you did so anyway. On top of that you had the audacity to say Kessler would effectively destroy an "overrated" Eubank, and you had ZERO basis to say so. Sit down, Xplosive.

Eubank is overrated because he avoided all the best middleweights, got lucky twice vs Watson, and got a gift over Dan Sherry. But this arguement isnt about Eubank.

Kessler is a world class fighter. So is Pavlik for that matter. Neither one is great however. Its simple as that.

If they fought I'd still pick Kessler. The style matchup favors him over Kelly.

Someone as limited as Froch was able to KO Taylor, what makes you think a guy who is better than Froch at basically everything wouldn't do a much better job?
