Maybe Steele is just an honestly weak ref. I dont know. He reffed in the Philippines back in the late 1990's (Pac vs. Gabriel Mira, 112 title defense) and the guy missed a couple of legit MP KDs that fight.

Ah Norman Stone. He can brighten up any day. The best referees are the ones you breath a sigh of relief at the sight of before the fight starts and barely notice when the fight begins.. To me that means Kenny Bayless.
I don't really put Cole up with the name refs. He's just a shady ****er casual fans probably wouldn't have ever paid attention to unless they caught the ''you're up on all the cards'' fight.
did bayless do the right thing in allowing cotto take that much punishment from pac? i felt that cotto's corner ****ed up on this one.
