yup. many of whitackers opponents had good records, but they were those kind of records were the boxer fought 35 times, won 35 times, but the opponents he faced had records like 4 wins 16 losses and 3 draws

floyd stepped in the ring with mosley, hoya, cotto, judah, marquez, coralles, castillo and hatton without losing 1 single time. put pernell in with those guys and he would lose 1-3 times.

even in a p4p sense, same size, same weight personelly mayweather defence is above pernells. its not but much, but floyds d is the best ever in my mind. the way he moves, rarely getting punched, his reflexes, his footwork. only prime joan guzman might have had a better defence :D serious:yep

Pernell Whitaker. Almost upended a strong Delahoya, unified the 135 lb division, reigned as the Welterweight champion and made Chavez look like a fool.

:patsch Money never used catchweights to beat anybody. End of story. Money>Pea. Nobody that used no catchweights is higher than Floyd.

Went with Floyd, although Pea has the better resume and will be higher on the ATG list when all is said and done, I like Floyd p4p. His defense is on a level with Pea and he's more dangerous when he wants to attack than Whitaker.
