I think he should face Pac. Pac beat De La Who:yep which was probably not the greatest accomplishment at this point of DLH's career. Although, DLH was the much bigger man in that fight. But, DLH is still looked at by many as a top fighter and it's only fair that Mayweather give Pac a shot at him. Say Mayweather wins, let's see what Alfredo Angulo does in his next fight and maybe Mayweather should move up and claim his superiority at 154. Personally speaking, I'm tired of the weight class circus. The old school in me would like to see these fighters reign for years as one weight class champion.
Asero im a big Mayweather fan and I place him in my top 45 atg...but beating pac or pac beating Mayweather wouldnt shoot him up to that top 20 and the same can be said for Pac...
Angulo will soon sit at the top of the 154 division. But, I understand your question. Why should he fight someone who's a bigger threat than any of the names mentioned in this post? As a fight fan, do you not find that fight interesting? Would you rather watch Williams/Mayweather:tired or Angulo/Maweather?:happyI find the latter much more interesting:think
I came up with this out of boredom:tiredI'm frustrated with the state of boxing. But, I do honestly think an Angulo fight would be interesting. My stomach aches when I think of Mosley/Mayweatherukke
wow...Mayweather would murder Angulo...haha...thats a stupid fight...Angulo hasn't even fought ne body in that division...he is slow for 1 and 2 he is just a hype...
I think firstly he will be just having a warm up fight against someone from any number of fighters that just arn't going to cause him any trouble. It is the fight after that that will be the important one. Also, we are just presuming here that he is going to come back in as a welter. Are we sure he cannot fight at Light Welt anymore? I don't think he would be able to, no matter how drained he came in, he's just to big for that weight now but what about Light Middle, or even Middle? Anyone think he could fight competitively at those weights? Anyway, I think his target will be the winner of Pac and Hatton, if that isn't the reason, maybe it is that JMM caught his eye and he feels he has something to prove there. What I do believe is a definite though, if that at some point in the next two years, there will be a re-match against Ricky! I'm 100% positive about that. It could even be that he has been in talks with Goldenboy and Ricky Hatton and they have convinced him of a lucrative fight against Hatton, maybe ay Wembley (near London). If the reason for his return is simply money, then the fight he has come back for (no matter who he fights first, to prepare), if Ricky Hatton. He would make more money with that fight than from any other fight out there. Personally, I would like to see him fight Hatton, Mosely and Cotto and if (and it's a big if), Pac comes through his next fight with Ricky with a convincing win, then I would love to see him and Mayweather go at it but as it stands now, I see that as a complete and utter mismatch.
All I know is newbie up there talkin out his a$$ like Angulo would be a good fight...thata be 1 sided..Floyd probably stop Angulo around 7
Marquez , then Pacquio if he gets past Hatton. Not interested in a Hatton rematch, would rather see Floyd fight Cotto should Hatton win.
