The Mosley fight was perfectly acceptable. Floyd gets too much bad press for ducking fighters.

It's funny cuz fans like pugi were saying that Floyd was scared of Mosley back before the fight was signed.

As soon as the fight was signed, they said Shane was old.

So why was he scared after the Marquez fight, but once it's signed he is cherrypicking?:huh

Not to mention Shane was ranked #1 at WW and #3 in the world at the time.

The winner of Martinez/Chavez. No competitive challengers in lower weight classes. He needs to move up to middleweight.

Agreed, and on that basis Floyd will probably hang around the lower weight classes for some time to come.

well considering floys never weighed above 150 officially or unofficially you cant really blame him for not moving up to 160

    :deal

Would be nice to see him fight someone with at least a decent chance of beating him. Nobody at 154 or below has a decent chance.

It was more the lack of competitive fights at lower weight classes that I think would interest him most. I don't believe he is interested in testing himself against the best, hence since fighting Castillo, he has basically fought beatable and generally smaller fighters. When he fought cotto I think he believed cotto was a bit more washed up than he actually was and had a bit of a scare, which I think will put him off fighting anyone Whois even a remote threat to his undefeated status.

Other fighters, rjj and PAC to name just two, have moved up in weight considerably to take on bigger challenges so why not Floyd?

I'm not suggesting that Floyd is not a great fighter obviously he is. However, I don't think we will ever find out how great he is and I don't think he has any intention of wanting to find out himself

Yep it was and as soon as floyd kicked his ass what did they say, floyd cherrypicked a shot old mosley.

These are the reasons I stick up for floyd. The hate and jealousy is unreal.

If floyd fought as a pro at 16 he would have just as many weight classes at this weight. Roy fought john ruiz to test his skill at heavy. He could have weight 160 and beat the ruiz. Mannys 8 titles is great an all but in all realityhow many lineal titles dies he have? Dint worry ill wait. Why should fight at a weight hes never even walked around at? I mean sure he can probably out point geale or felix sturm but then people like u will come in and bring up manny and how floyd cherry picked, forgetting manny fought for a vacant 150 lb title against a guy not in the top ten. Or david diaz when there was cleary better challenges or a ricky hatton who was coming off a k.o. Loss. Give floyd atleast sum credit to actually stepping up an fighting in a division that actually exists while being much smaller than just about everybody he fought since he firsy moved up in weight. not saying floyd is the greatest blah blah but the fact that u say he needs to fight middleweights is ridiculous. 154 is as high as he goes and he is tiny at that weight smaller than every fighter at or near thr top.
