I agree, people need to realise that the way Degale fights experiance is going to be important, he's a good 5-6 years AT LEAST away from his prime, Groves is probably in his now tbh

I disagree. I think he became disheartened with Groves' body attacks after the KD, they took the wind out of him IMO.

But it doesnt change the fact that Anderson, a bigger puncher, hit him with his best shots, and couldnt put him away. Smith is not really a big puncher.

 

I could give you ten pages of hate about DeGale just from me. But there's now way he'll be world-class until he corrects his myriad technical flaws. A guy with such awful footwork and terrible punching technique cannot be world-class. End of discussion.

Chris Eubank once said that DeGale will fail. No doubt he has the talent, you dont win Gold at the Olympics without it, but dya think hes ever gonna be dedicated enough to be the best he can be? :think

 

Thats the big question, i hope for the sake of british boxing he can be.

 

This obviously remains to be seen. Sometimes a first pro defeat ruins fighters (Naz, Hatton), but sometimes it makes them (Hopkins, JMM, Pac). Personally, i think his arrogence is still there "people keep telling me I won the fight". I think he perhaps needs to lose again, hopefully by KO, so he can lose the arrogance. Only then will be knuckle down and achieve his potential.

 

He needs a new team. That is the only solution. And to be less of a ****.

 

The moves against Samuels was nice. Poor opposition but despatched as they should be.

He has a chance. Anderson did well. Groves must think he is a boxer now. Smith has a chance. Different styles.
