IMO, before the fight I had Shane as the number 1 WW. He dominated the then WW cahmpion in Antonio Margarito and deserved the top spot.

Lots of people had Shane ranked as number one.

Others didn't for various reasons. Personally I don't include anyone who has not fought for a year in any of my rankings. I had Pacquiao as number one.

People were undecided on whether it was Floyd (linear champion before he retired) or Mosley (beat Margarito who beat Cotto in clash to 'decide' no.1 after Floyd stepped down). Some people thought it was Cotto as he beat Mosley and his loss to Margo is now questionable, although Pac kind-of put that argument into the tall grass. It depends on whether you regard Floyd's retirement or what happened after that as more legit.

    I guess we know now.

Mayweather only beat Marquez in last couple of years.

Pacquiao beat two top five WW's in Cotto and Clottey.

Berto not really done enough to judge.

    Who else is there?

I have Pac as the 1 spot. Come on guys give Shane a break he's 38. He has flashes of greatness like neon deon when he played for the skins, but he just isn't the same.

i have no problem making floyd as #1 ranked WW (not champion) and pacquiao as #2. both has to fight to decide who will be the champion at welter.

Who the **** cares? It had a contracted weight of 145 lbs which is within the welterweight division and both fighters were comfortable with.
