I was going to take the **** but you do have a point. I thought he was 6ft 2in for a while until everywhere changed it to 5ft 11 1/2in a couple of years back. Unless the heights of other fighters have been exaggerated, Monzon does appear to be over six foot.

He was 5'-11-1/2"...this was known way back in the 70's, and I followed all of Monzon's fights...read all about him, etc., it was fudged sometimes to 6' even, but in reality he was 5'-11-1/2"...he appeared to be taller because he "fought tall, and utilized his height and reach to thew max...much better and effectively than just about any fighter I've ever seen...one of the many reasons I rate him so highly, and that he's my favorite fighter.

Physically its likely G-Man..He was as tall if not taller..and was a notorious weigh cutter.

As for who is better..not even a question that needs to be asked.

Monzon was never listed as being more than 6'. Why does this question keep coming up??

Monzon was 5'11. Why does everyone think he was so big?

Anyway, G-Man apparently boiled down from Cruiser. No wonder his brain didn't have any oxygen, silly man.

You have to consider the type of training these guys did and when exactly the weigh-in was arranged. Monzon may have been bigger or just as big as McClellan, but there were more rounds he had to train for, a better overall caliber of foe and tighter make-weight deadlines.
