Find me a Bute fight for which the scorecards weren't fair.

I'll start with Ward-Bika to address Joakland. 120-108 was exactly that... a joke. 2 X 118-110 isn't much better. Bika won 3 rounds, 4 if you're somewhat biased.

    Your turn now. :D

Both fighters will HAVE to fight outside of Montreal/Joakland by end of 2011 IMO.

That's incredibly unsound logic, basing a fighter's talent solely on the opposition he's faced. Especially considering he's fought the best available after not being invited to the super 6.

Ward had never fought anybody before he went in and schooled Kessler, so resume isn't everything, huh?

Hmmm Bute kind of reminds me of Donaire. They look good but their opposition could be the reason.
However i would say Froch has a good chance and so does Ward. I just wanna see what Wards chin looks like when Bute land an uppercut on him. I doubt Ward wants to fight him on the inside.

I'm not sure if I'd bet on Ward or Bute if/when they fight. However, if I'm picking Ward it is because of his better inside game.

Exactly my thoughts. Let's see Ward trying to rough Froch up on the inside... Froch will make it a war. :yep

Ward will NOT be prepared for Bute unless he fights a world class southpaw in the meantime.

The inside is perfect for Butes uppercut. Also he throws it with so much power it KOd a guy like Andrade to both the body and the head.

I really think Ward is smart enough to not want to fight there.

If they fought i think Ward uses his feet to dart in and out ala Kessler.

Really, West? You think Hopkins' business @ LHW is finished?

I personally think Hopkins will never want Bute @ 168, because let's face it, Bute will remain at 168 for another couple of years.

Can't wait to hear an explanation from the guy who picked Pavlik. :D

If Johnson could fight at 168 then Hopkins should be able go down at 170. With most probable Johnson(his friend and sparring partener) and Abraham(who want's to go back at 160) out of the s6 , Hopkins at 170 can be an option. I personally would not choose Hopkins ... I would choose Pascal Cloud or Dawson who will give you about the same recognition but with a better chanse of winning. Hopkins knows all the tricks in the buissnes and his workrate and stamina seems to be better than others at 175.

You should never write the word pathetic near your user name. People could make a link...

Let's see... Bute beats Magee, next fight falls in the summer. A little after that, let's suppose Pascal beats Dawson in a rematch (April/May). Assuming Bute's post-Magee fight for Showtime (re: boatloads of cash) falls in August, and assuming something makes it so that neither Dirrell or Kessler is available for Bute's last fight before facing the S6 winner, Pascal could step up to the plate in a mega fight @ Olympic Stadium. Say between 20 and 40K people. Fight @ 170, possibly 172. But neither 168 or 175.

Awesome. Let's see if this can be made. :hey
