Bellew is now the WBC cruiserweight champion, Mairis Briedis is his mandatory challenger. Is Bellew allowed to have a voluntary defense before fighting Briedis? According to the rules he isn't because he won a vacant title and he has a mando. So he has to fight Briedis next as far as I know. Thoughts?
Is McKenzie ranked with the WBC? If he is and Bellew is allowed a voluntary then I expect a third fight with him.

That is very possible although Briedis also has holes in his defense. At least he knows how to clinch unlike Makabu.
Yeah he clinched a lot in his last fight. If Bellew catches anyone flush on the right spot with that left hook it's going to have an effect. I have no doubt that Briedis can take him out in highlight reel fashion if he catches him too. He's not the biggest CW but he's bigger than Makabu and he's handled himself well against much bigger men than Bellew in that Bigger's Better thing.
Since that was a vacant belt he's supposed to fight Breidis before the end of the year. Then again it's a WBC belt so you don't really have to fight a mandatory before everyone starts complaining about it.
