I agree here - they're posturing around and could still land a deal. It took a while to sort out the Kessler fight, but it happened. I think this one could still happen.

If he can "smash the ****" out of Taylor, a fight against Calzaghe will be worth 15 or 20 mil. You will then see Abraham getting to the back of the line.

Unless I missed the latest news he'll fight Woods first and then come around and realise that Kessler deserves a rematch.;)

I got more chance of fighting Joe than Kessler has again.....!!!!!
Woods would give him the shot at a belt & his last hurrah could be a massive stateside match up against Hop or Dawson.

Just curious Taffyy. Do you rate a match against BHOP over a rematch with Kessler? Yes, I know time is a factor here, but still.

Roy Jones, watch. Him and h-hop isnt gonna work out, Warren said Woods isnt that big of a name. Dawson would b a high risk low reward fight for him.
Him and RJ are gonna fight after RJ woops Tito. RJ is willing 2 fight at 168 in Wales. WIth a 60/40 split, the bigger portion going to the winner.
    There gonna fight watch

He has done what was needed with Kessler & Mikkel is far too dangerous to risk a rematch with afterall I think he's only going to get better & go on to dominate SMW.
BHOP is purely a big money thing as I can think of at least 3 opponents who ALL present harder challenges than Hop at this moment in time....:good

A rematch with kessler would pay more than 3 mill $. He would have a full stadium in copenhagen for that match. But i'm afraid your right, its not going to happen, Kessler will have work his way to the top again before another big fight comes along.

    :?

    Dawson first.

If he survives that (and I would give him a slight edge), then the winner of Pavlik-Taylor. He would win that one easily, thereby showing what a mismatch Bernard would have been.

Calzaghe won't fight Bute because the IBF Champion is a to dangerous fighter for him...

My bid is Woods ... CalzagheWarren wouldn't pay the price needed to get Hopkins to the UK and Hopkins isn't going to pay Calzaghe enough for him to go to the US - why should he? - he has easier and at least as well paying fights to pick from.

Calzaghe is Warren's golden ticket - he will be fighting at a Warren-show or not at all.

I'm sorry but I fear Calzaghe has fought his last real contender...

if hopkins negotiations break down i beleive that a winky wright fight could be possible, acceptable to america and uk tv and i beleive the fight could definatley be made as wright is always prepared to travel, albeit it would mean calzaghe staying at 168.

woods is an obvious choice and money can be made despite the rhetoric from calzaghe.

i do not beleive they will look at dawson , he is calzaghe`s hardest opponent at 175 to solve and for most probably the least money.

Calzaghe have to understand something. Old bag Hopkins is not a big ticket seller. Also, he is not a big pay tv seller. So Calzaghe won't get the money he is looking for. Money talks...what a great champion !!

I tend to disagree there. Not sure of B Hops last PPV sales, but I would imagine that they are average, but only becuase he fought fighters who have limited interst in the US (and they were US fighters). If he fights Calzaghe, he will get half of the UK buying the PPV.
