*** Who will Mayweather fight next? ***

Following last night's win over Shane Mosley, Floyd was asked about fighting Pacquiao and basically said the fight will happen if Pacquiao is willing to adhere to the drug testing regime originally proposed.

If he isn't, there won't be a fight.

Both guys are renowned for being petty negotiators, crying over a % here and a % there, and other meaningless bollocks..... though there hasn't been much talk of who Pac will fight since the sparring session with Clottey.

So - who will Mayweather face next?

Reports on other websites suggest Sergio Martinez as a possible opponent, probably at 154..... obviously Williams will be in the mix as well should he beat Cintron.

I think the Pacquiao fight will happen. It was clear from Floyd's interview that he's keen on the fight. He'll be, rightly, brimming with confidence after that performance. A fight with Martinez at 154 would be interesting but I think, first of all, he'll want that big money fight with Pacquiao.

 

For me if Pacman has nothing to hide take the test then let battle commence ...

Earns tens of millions and a potential ATG legacy just to have a test !!...its a no brainer unless you have something to hide :think

If that's the case, I could see him fighting Berto before he moved up.

 

After seeing that performance, Pacquiao's the only fighter between 147 and 160 I give a chance of beating him. I used to think Williams would beat Mayweather, but not anymore. Floyd could win the middleweight title, I hope he goes for it eventually.

 

i realy hope he goes up to 154 and beats cotto, think he would stop an ageing cotto, this all depends if cotto can beat foreman, then maybe upto 160 for the williams fight, think a fight at 160 with williams is more lilkley than the pacman showdown

The best thing with Floyd is to try and switch off to his outside of the ring antics as they're irrelevant. Pac fight needs to happen next.

 

Not sure, but Mayweather has no right to dictate terms to Manny.

 

He'd probably beg to differ, especially after the PPV numbers are released. Hopefully they find a solution to the drug testing thing and just go with the contract they had before.

 

i think maywather wud beat williams quite comfortably. Manny is the only 1 that can test him, i agree on that. thought he looked pretty big for a welter
