    Agree and disagree

The torch passing events are the easiest path to ppv stardom. Canelo beating Mayweather would instantly turn him into a HUGE ppv draw.

Without that, the road is much tougher

De La Hoya facing Mayweather and Pacquiao set both guys up as ppv stars. Boxing fans already knew them, but the mainstream did not.

    Broner

His fight with Resse did better ratings than Canelo/Trout:deal

Canelo doesn't have the talent to be the next big thing..

how can Warddke take Mayweather's place? He has no fans, he's unknown outside Oakland, he never had a ppv and even if he'll have a ppv fight in the next years he'll sell about 200. except the pubs near Warddke's house i doubt there will be interest to buy Warddke's lame fights with dehydrated mummies.

I think there might be a while where P4P #1, 2, 3, up to maybe 5 will be tossups. I think we're gonna see some really varied P4P lists from readers and publishers alike.

true, without floyd in the picture it would be hard to pick a conclusive #1.

canelo will. fan friendly style, big fanbase allready. young champion who has alot of potential to improve on his flaws.

if he loses to mayweather it does not mean much...

    :rofl

    Fan friendly style??

You mean running around the ring and backeddling all night?

    I thought ya'll don't like that:huh

Canelito is only 5-7...he can't improve on that,,.plus the other fighters aren't going to wait around while he irons-out his MANY flaws.

Broner vs Reese did better ratings than Canelito vs Trout:deal
How can that be if his fanbase is sooo big?

Adrian Broner will take over...Alvarez doesn't have the talent to take over anything this side of the border.
