Would'nt it be awesome if it came down to Fedor vs Werdum for the final, Fedor avenges his only legit loss and then retires on top.:happy

What are you on about? One minute you say Overeem spends time beating cans and has done nothing at heavy? And now you say Fedor must be ranked behind him? Your posts are getting worse and worse... Get off the drink b.

No matter where we all stand on who wins, one thing is for certain. This is a better event than the UFC has EVER put on!! I am so excited. The only news that could top this is that PRIDE FC was coming back under it's old format and fighters.:deal I have'nt been this pumped for an event since PRIDE final conflict 2005.:happy

    Me too. :yep

Hope he still has enough left to pull it off. If he does, his opportunites and his rep are going to shoot through the roof. That said, I picked Overeem to win the tournament, but I'm hoping for an upset.

Overeem has the Strikeforce belt doesn't he? Fedor is in Strikeforce. In their own rankings they have Fedor behind Overeem unless one ranks contenders higher than the actual champions. I'm not making it up. Blame Strikeforce.

And Strikeforce is the minor leagues to the UFC so take that how you will.

Reem is looking pretty monstrous lately, and keeping sharper and more active than anyone with his "double-fisting".

Kharitonov and Werdum do both hold victories over him (and both also look good in recent form) - and Fedor is of course Fedor...and Barnett is a real dark horse.

One of those five should win, and if pressed my pick is 'Reem.

    My thoughts exactly.

BTW, isn't the draw somewhat top heavy in Fedor and Overeem's half?

I think that Overeem and Fedor should have been in different halves of the draw and they also have Werdum there too.

So you effectively have your 1st, 2nd and 3rd seeds all in the same half of the draw.:huh

The Arlovski/Kharitonov QTR Final is between two has beens who no one gives a **** about anymore and then you have Barnett(overrated) vs Rogers(too green and perhaps not that good anyway).

I think Reem will win but still can't envision him beating Fedor. That will be a strange matchup to watch, Fedor has caginess, timing and unorthodoxy in his stand-up, Reem the brutal knees and big punches, Reem seems very strong when on top and has some sick submission skills himself, but Fedor is agile
off his back and able to pull a sub out of his ass.

I hope we don't see him get stuck in a guillotine

I do have a weird feeling Barnett will win it. Smart, dangerous and experienced.

Couldn't choose between reem and fedor so tossed a coin an picked reem but I think fedor could just still be to quick and aggressive, whoever wins there fight is the winner will tool barnet IMO

  14. War Fedor. It's becoming clearer by the day that Fedor is getting old. Other than that he has everything else going for him.
