    I feel like is Shields will beat Marshall, she might get more respect by the masses despite how brash and arrogant she is. To some, that might be the moment when she people are gonna be like "Yeah, maybe she is as good as she says she is."

    As I've said before and will defiantly restate, I'll be rooting for the event to flop. I hope Shields wins clearly, and I hope it's extremely boring and offers no basis for a rematch. Then Shields will go back to the US and continue to labor in obscurity (Top Rank/ESPN may offer her a fresh shot at impressing a TV audience for a short term off the back of a win over Marshall, but her ratings would continue to stink as bad as they did on SHO).

    If it was just the odd bout here and there that Sky were deeming worthy of televising, I'd shrug and give a little leeway, whatever. But we are awash in a crap version of the sport that nobody actually wants to see.

    The womens' boxing push at Sky is just an extension of the whole 'You'll own nothing and be happy' global establishment dispossession trip. You can't even have your simple entertainment anymore. Doesn't matter if you want to see this **** or not, they're gonna force it upon you and do their level best to force/brainwash it into popularity.

    "Come on, open up! Say, 'Ahhhh!' Chew! CHEW! We know it stinks and it tastes like ****, but you're going to eat it! Swallow it, you wretched peasants!"

    It's a ****ing joke.

    The vicarious triumph or sense of righteous satisfaction guys here would derive from Marshall (nice working class Brit girl) defeating Shields (nasty US ghetto girl) is nought but a pyrrhic victory. You're losing your sport (leastways the British arm) to a bunch of part-time care workers and military dykes who nobody wants to see but who are filled with an increasingly palpable sense of entitlement because they have a huge television network telling them they (Rapinoe voice) "deserve this".

    Snap to, boys, you're being suckered.

    The clash of personalities and my dislike of Shields is not nearly as meaningful to me as the health and integrity of TV boxing, which currently has enough problems without this flood of flailing broads routinely appearing in prestige slots.

    You and I have had this exchange before;

    I know you want me to stop telling the truth, male feminist, but I'm not going to. :eusa_dance:

    But isn't this an all female card at the O2? Isn't this the very thing you said you wanted for it to stand on it's own and not on the coat tails of the male side of the sport. You say you wouldn't have a problem but you clearly do. You seem overly offended by female boxing being given a platform on Sky, how is a sport meant to grow without exposure?

    I can't stand all the Youtuber celebrity fights either, it's outsiders using boxing to cash in and casuals falling for the marketing, but I simply don't watch it and don't post in the threads about these stupid fights.

    Six rounds in the bank yesterday evening. Meanwhile, all it takes is my opinion to make you tender.

    Snip. Oops, somebody didn't read the post very well.

    Care to elaborate then because I clearly don't understand why you are so offended by women's boxing.

    I did. You absorbed half and skimmed over the rest;

    Because it's largely awful, there's little to no organic demand for it and it's being forced upon the TV boxing audience for political reasons.

    While this is true, are we just going to pretend that male boxing is not at its lowest since the 200 rounds period? Wilder, for example, is hopeless, yet was an Olympic medalist and world champion(or at least one of the bunch of world champions at any given time) after two years of training and fighting a bunch of cab drivers. Fury is fighting Chisora or Charr for one of the world titles. One fight per year. Boxing is a joke. It is about time they introduced a single world title and if you are champion, you can only fight top 5 guys(top 5 should be updated regularly, so we don't have the same shot geezers there for an entire decade) . Minimum of 2 defenses per year.

    On topic - I got Marshall on this. KO inside 9

    I still find your stance rather contradictory. You're calling for all women cards then saying you hate the fact they don't include men on all women cards?

    Fact is in business you don't just wait for customers to magically appear to buy your product, you create demand and this is what Matchroom and Sky have done. Women's boxing got exposure at the London games with the likes of Adams and Taylor and Matchroom saw an opportunity to create demand and revenue from women's boxing.

    The fact we now have women's boxing events being headlined by women in big venues suggests there is now a demand otherwise these women only events would bomb. Instead we had Taylor/Serrano sellout MSG and now Shields/Marshall at the O2.

    Needs to be 3 min rounds to be exciting honestly.

    More ebb, flow and drama in that extra minute over 12

    I definitely agree woman championship fights should be 3 minute rounds.

    I'm not the one crying about women in sport. Just don't watch it. Better yet, don't post your whining in a thread about a female fight. What are you, another 12 year old who listens to Andrew Tate?
