Who wins Joe Louis or Larry Holmes in prime

    He's a bigger man than billy conn, but I see their fight playing out exactly the same ... except larry never gets hurt. Boxing had changed a lot. Larry would have been able to institute the Billy Conn movement/ jab plan easily. (I don't think it changed that much between the 70s and the 2000s, but the Joe Louis tapes really do reveal a slightly different sport than the one we are accustomed to).

    Holmes by 5 inch reach advantage. Ive always thought Joe Luis was very stiff and almost mechanical, I don't know if it's the old bad camera works of that generation, or if he was actually that stiff. I think Holmes just sticks him with that jousting jab all night.
