    Marquez by one.

If he hadn't been decked in the third he'd have won 8-4.

    Marquez won both fights.
I didnt know much about him till those fights but they made me a huge admirer.
He wont almost every round after the 1st in the 1st fight, and won by 2 or 3 rounds in the 2nd.

I have watched this fight twice, and both times I scored it to Marquez 114-113 and 115-113 respectively. I just can't score this fight in Pacquiao's favour, even with the knockdown.

I actually thought Manny won the second fight and lost the first. I know Marquez felt he clearly won the 2nd and the first he may have lost.

I agree, in the first fight despite the first round, I had Marquez winning it. Manny won the second round and maybe one more round later in the fight, but Marquez won that one to me though. I can leave with a draw so I'm not complaining, but the second one was straight robbery

I Agree, the same way I think Hopkins beat Calzaghe but nobody on this site gives him credit for the accurate counterpunching, ring control, and defense.

Marquez by two rounds, not the robbery some people claim but i do think Marquez won.

  9. ive watched this fight more than 10 times now and i just dont see how people think pacquiao won. now, as a marquez fan some may think that im inclined to give him the nod. however, thats not the case. i thought pacquiao clearly won their first fight and was robbed of the vicotry. the rematch to me was a clear and undeniable victory for marquez. the way marquez stands in front of u and moves his upper body is also a type of agression. movement alone can sometimes instigate action. people who box know this. marquez was almost in complete control of the action during the better part of most rounds. he was "telling" manny, with his movement, when to attack so he could counter. it was a great display of ring generalship against an opponent who commands the utmost respect. marquez was the champion and should have retained his title.

    This.

No real complaint about it going to Pacquaio though. A 2nd draw wouldve been nice too.

It is when you want to see Pacquiao the winner.

    Beautifully said!:good

I've described this fight many times as Marquez pulling Pacquiao along at his leisure with as you would lay a string on the ground and have a cat follow it......the cat is at your mercy in the way you pull and control that string.

This forum is littered with *******s you wont have Marquez winning a poll here now...... the only poll that Marquez ever won on this issue was the poll that was set here right after the fights completion.:deal:bbb
