Woods may have been shot, but he's only been stopped once in his entire career...against a prime Roy...on cuts. Has Woods ever been knocked down?
Hopkins I think Robinson,Hagler,Monzon,Leonard all have a very good chance of beating him But no one destroys Hopkins Maybe when hes 60 something, but even then i wouldent underestimate him He taught us Many times thats just not a wise thing to do...
everyone knows I am a huge fan of the Kbros but any top rank contender before this one beats them! LMFAO
My favourite current fighter is Manny Pacquiao. I think one of my all-time favourite fighters Roberto Duran beats him every time at 135, 140 and 147. Duran is the only guy I can think of off the top of my head who could take Pacquiao on in a firefight at 135 or 140, and drive him back and beat him up. Of the current crop of fighters, I don't see anyone from 135-147 beating Pac. If Manny went up to 154, it's not inconceivable he could lose because he'd be so, so much smaller than his opponent. I wouldn't fancy Manny against Sergio Martinez.
I know, I really under-estimated Khan in that fight. I could be making the same mistake in the Maidana match-up, but as of yet I've not seen anything in Khan's defence (close quarters in particular) which convinces me he can keep Maidana off him long enough. And like you've just hinted at, the only chance Maidana has is by stopping him. Because I can see Khan outboxing him for the majority of the fight, but unfortunately being let down by his not so durable chin. Now be honest dude, have you seen anything in Khan's defence which tells you he can do a Mayweather, and go a whole fight without being struck clean by a power shot? No chance. Against Maidana he'll be in a fight which will force him to eat a handful of power shots. Will he be able to weather them? No doubt, it would be a mistake to think Khan won't be able to stun him or knock him down. Like you said Ortiz managed to drop him, and Cayo even had him on the back foot hurt. But if you watch them, you'll notice how he managed to recover very quick in all those instances. They say a fighter is most dangerous when he's hurt. Maidana fits that description very well
Mayweather is my favorite, the only way I see him getting destroyed is if he goes up to high in weight, perhaps 168 would be where it would mean destruction. So Andre Ward destroys my favorite fighter.
My fave fighters: Devon Alexander @ 140: Aaron Pryor would wreck his ****. Paul Williams @ 147/154: Tommy Hearns would break Paul's jaw. Sergio Martinez @ 160: Hagler/Monzon destroy him.
i dont get what the deal with maidana is maidana almost got stoped by victor ortiz and was behind on the cards when ortiz quit and that is maidana's biggest victory and that was against an unproven prospect he stepped up to world level and got beat by kotelnik he can punch thats it but he has limited skills limited speed and not all that great a chin as long as khan doesnt stand and trade with him its an easy nights work
