:--(, Its okay to say your idol gets destroyed in this thread. so it would take a fighter 20 pounds above the weight limit to destroy Floyd?atschatsch
Not my favorite fighter, but Wlad would get DESTROYED by Meldrick Taylor, he would run circles around the big guy. It would be hopeless. If my favorite fighter, Gamboa, moved up to super featherweight and fought Valero, he would have been rocked. Gamboa has a suspect chin at this point, first of all, but more importantly, Valero was a crazy dude.
Duran, Chavez, Pryor, Canzoneri Really? I think there are pletny at those weight that would beat him and a few that would annhilate him. Ike Williams, JC Chavez, Henry Armstrong, Tony Canzoneri. Especially at welterweight. Put him in with guys like Robinson, Leonard, Hearns, Walker, Burley. He would get destroyed by those guys. Max Schmeling: happened, Joe Louis KOed him in one. Tony Canzoneri: can“t think of nobody who would destroy him, too tough and skilled. Kid Chocolate: happened, Tony Canzoneri did him in 2. Floyd Patterson: happened, thrice. Ingemar Johannson in three and Sonny Liston twice in one. Dick Tiger: happaned, Bob Foster did him in four. I think of it more of a freak accident though. Nobody destroys him at mw though.
my favorite fighter is roy jones jr. In his prime it would be tough to beat him, but imo only great HWs (Foreman, Ali, Frazier, Johnson etc.) would have a chance of destroying a prime roy.
Why exactly is Solis all wrong for him? And 10 times out of 10? Haye nearly had him out in the World Championship final. One fighter has improved drastically and one has gotten progression fatter and worse.
Haye landed a lucky punch in a fight that he lost. now maybe without headgear solis gets counted out. but the guy now is a tank! i doubt 1 punch could stop him, he would steamroll haye imo
mw: Robinson, Monzon, Hagler, Burley. Fitzsimmons, Ketchel and Greb I guess would too given their record, newspaper reports and film on them (not Greb of course) lhw: Charles, Moore, Foster, Spinks, Tunney, Conn, Bivins. Fitzsimmons, Langfrod and Greb too probably. Others who have a good chance: Berlenbach, John Henry Lewis, Jack Delaney, Loughran. hw: about every top hw ever.
