Quality is more important than experience.

Experience don't mean **** all when you are the definition of average!

Groves is a future P4P'er - I said it right there :deal

I agree, Groves would take Smith now. Groves is sparring the likes of Froch and Abraham he has the tools now to beat the likes of Smith.

Agree'd , but ive seen enough of Groves to think Paul would be too cute for him at the minute . There is no doubting that Groves , De Gale etc etc are looking at the minute like the future , but people forget how good Smith was as an amatuer and if he reproduces that form , Groves and De Gale are in laa laa land in thinking they can hang with him at this very early stage of there careers .

I can see why you say it..... but I think Groves would ''Lacy'' Smith.

DeGale would probably beat him as well.

Smith was good as an amateur but turned pro ages ago and hasn't beaten anyone that indicates someone that can beat Groves - I'd have taken Groves to beat both Quigley and Dodson..... the rest of his record is filled with flat out journeymen, some of which would struggle to beat a pub drunk.

I sound like a stuck record, but you sound like Smith himself banging on about his am career, he has been a pro for seven years and has looked average against average fighters Banks,Bendall,Quigley and Dodson, he hasn't shown anything in the pro's to suggest De gale and Groves couldn't hang with him.

I read that he is moving to the States and has his gym there and he hopes to train again over there.

I Agree , i have no argument for that !!!!!

Only an incling that Smith is now taking his conditioning in the sport very seriously , if he is , he will look better the fitter he gets , but yeah too little to late im hearing that .

Dilks would be a sensible fight, as it will be another overhyped scouse derby and he also would have half a chance of winning after that he will fight Magee and if he wins (can't see it) he could vacate to allow Degale to take the title.

Degale and Groves would batter him even at this stage of their careers, but as Smith is with Warren he wont fight Degale and he wouldn't give Groves a shot unless he was ordered to by bbbofc.

No , i dont see it this early , but if De Gale keeps looking the way he's been looking and Smith still has his title in 4 - 6 months its possible imo .

Frank Warren has absolutley no loyalties or no regards for anybody but him and his wallet , De Gale in 3 more fights is as good an earner as Smith now to Warren if he fights the right people , but this talk is ridiculous , De Gale and Groves need a hell of a lot more fine tuning to bring there progression on correctly , if your asking me can De Gale and Groves beat Smith yes they can , but whats the rush they need to learn there game , and they need to be as good as they can be come the 20 fight mark , and that doesnt happen by getting rushed .
