I know. I'm one of them who believes that.

But that’s testament to Brook’s ability. He should no longer be considered ‘not world class’. Especially when, in addition to Khan, quite a few have him beating Ortiz, Alvarez and shitting on Alexander, too. So again, it doesn’t say much at all (other than Brook finally proving to be on the same level as those guys). And with him and Khan - they’re the same age, have had about the same number of fights, and have been pros for about the same number of years, too. Even if Brook’s been brought along a bit slower, it’s kind of expected for the gap between the two to be close.

I honestly think Brook stops him, If you weigh up all their attributes the only thing I see Khan having the advantage in is hand speed, Brook is more powerful, better footwork, better jab, better balance, decent defence he has pretty much everything in his favour, bar speed and experience.
The key to this fight for me is Brooks jab and counter punching, we know what Khans going to do, its the same every fight.

Congrats @EddieHearn @SpecialKBrook . Saturday night was the highest rating boxing show in Sky history, peaking at 440k during main event.

Don't know if that's true, but Brook is getting his name out there to the casuals. Khan should take the fight, It's the biggest money fight for both men IMO.

I hear your point Rico, but i tend to look at Khan with more scrutiny then Ortiz/Alvarez due to a lot of his own talk and his fans talk about being elite. So you wanna be judged by that level i'll judge you at that level. I'm doing same to Froch, i defend his back to back fights resume but i don't defend his lack of skills and i think again it says a lot about him when people think old men or young bucks have a real chance against him.

Good post though i agree with you.

Whatever happens, Brook would be the moral victor.

    Yeah.

Grand scheme of things? Is that another way of suggesting I have an agenda? Lol

Their opinions are of course valid, and if you remember back, even I was in full understanding of Khan's flaws, especially when he was about to fight Peterson where I said I can see Khan losing this, but going back to your point where you said it says
It all about Khan when posters see him getting beat by a fighter who is not yet called world class, it only says something because you're limiting it to a forum. We're always going to see nobheads say Khan can beat Mayweather/Pacquiao but the solid/good posters I know, never gave him a chance again the elite, just like myself, so my point to you is that the feeling of posters does not say something about a fighter just because people opinions have suddenly changed. This happens in Boxing. This time last year, Pacquaio looked unbeatable and now the feeling of people is that he's going to be beaten by a world class fighter who did not look special against the likes of Abregu/Casamayor. So does that say it all about Pacquaio? Because last time I checked there was a massive difference between Elite and World class.

Hope that post makes sense. Not able to read it back on phone an in a lecture.

You know you don't like Brook due to his talk about Khan and his fans talk about Khan. Even Kos pulled you up the other day when you questioned me on his jab then hadn't really looked at it.

IMO you and other Khan fans do have a issue with the guy because he's a threat to him. Plus i can imagine Eddie Hearn's 'Destroy him, Destroy him' rant would of agitated a fair few.

As for the Pacquiao issue that's a man who's legs are coming to end, he's not in his prime...Khan is and that's why it says it all IMO. Bradley looked ok last time out without really getting going, the Abregu fight he was good enough against a unknown quantity and bigger man. Bradley doesn't have glaring flaws that give me thoughts that likes of Brook can beat him.

Yeah, mate, I totally agree that his actual skills do not merit the hype he's recieved. And for that, it's understandable for him to be looked on more strictly than most. I do the same (example being Froch that you've mentioned). But occasionally, his shortcomings are magnified to the point where it almost appears as though he's being labelled as a "nobody". That's the impression that a less-informed person would get if he came onto these boards. But with that said, the complete opposite can happen also (with the likes of Darni/Go Getta blowing his trumpet).

I just feel he's not as hopeless as some people make out. Similar things we're being said after the Prescott defeat, and he bounced back and went beyond what he was supposed to do. As a fan, I hope he can do it again.

Brook would outpoint Khan if he could cope with his speed, the jab would be the key and I don't think Amir could get through it

Did you read my reply to Kos?

Peterson is a massive threat to Khan. Do I have an issue with him? Hell no.

Laz, you said Brook would beat Hatton via Split decision, come on mate. You clearly don't like Kell due to him calling Khan out.

I genuinely felt Hatton would do well, due to the effort he put up versus Alvarez. How wrong was I.. And I gave Brook props, too!

But I don't like him as a fighter, ive said that loads of times but not because he's a potential Khan opponent.

I read it and i stand by Kos initial post i think you took issue with my other post you quoted.

If you slagged off Peterson you know you'd look a fool and plus he's to hard to dislike . Plus he's not a threat anymore to Khan he's reality.

Brook is a threat, a guy that hasn't beaten a world class fighter yet but beaten some good names recently and has shown ability. He talks Khan's name and it annoys the KDL. I can see why you lads wouldn't agree with his talk but i see posts trying to disregard the lad in all area's of his game that's when i sense hatred towards him because he fancies he can beat Khan.

Edit: Ok now you've admitted it so it's all good.

I do admit I did jump the gun on the Brook jab thing, but at the same time, from what I had seen before and what I saw on Saturday, my opinion hasn't changed. (Did he break Hatton's nose with it? I because if he did, I take it back!)

Like I said to BA, I don't dislike Brook because he's a threat to Khan, really. I just don't like him. I'm sure you've seen how many times I take the **** out of his lisp.

Be back in 5 hours. This shizzle has drained my battery.
