Who would win: Marciano vs Frazier

    My favourite fantasy matchup. an exhausting, brutal trench war between two men who don't know how to take a step back. I see a late TKO stoppage, on cuts maybe. Otherwise a clear but physically taxing UD for Frazier

    I lean towards Marciano for a number of stylistic reasons.

    No money going down however.

    I'd put my life savings on Marciano winning this one - Joe didn't have the style or the sense to beat Marciano - you had to be a really smart fighter to beat Marciano and Joe wasn't far off being the most unsmart fighter at heavy - no chance - no chance at all Marciano by KO 10 or 11 rounds

    if they were the same exact size I pick Marciano.. But at the size they fought at I pick Frazier. Marciano wouldn't know how to deal with the left hook.

    I agree with the bold part, I might still think he could win anyway, but maybe not but it's just doe to the strength/size advantage really.

    They were close in size. Frazier only had about 15-20 pounds or so on Marciano. 185 to 205.

    Hard to predict this one. It would be a great match. Not sure if Frazier could take Marciano's power. Not sure if Rocky could land first and deal with Frazier's hand speed.

    Frazier did stay competent sith one past prime ali, marciano almost got ko by small shits like charles and the lightheavy archie moore, joe frazier might well take an **** on rocky marciano's face

    I've got to go with Marciano in this one. Both men will never go backward. Joe was bigger but Rocky had the overall more damaging punch. These two would make it very easy for the other to hit, given their respective styles. As for the result, given Marciano's penchant for hitting everything in sight and the lasting damage it was known to cause, I'll take him by late stoppage.

    This one's been done a million times and I've changed my mind almost as many times but if I was betting my life savings on the outcome I'd have to go with Frazier in a classic. Too much speed and head movement. If Joe could make Ali miss alot with his bobbing and weaving then he'll make Rocky miss more. If Marciano had faster hands I'd probably go with him but he doesn't. One shot won't do it against Frazier....Nor will 2 or 3 for that matter and I don't see Rocky catching lightning in a bottle twice and duplicating a Walcott I against Joe. Frazier by decision or late round stoppage due to cuts but what a battle!
