Williams can be hit. Especially after he throws the straight left and leans in. Winky caught him a couple of times. Mayweather would be able to land a right hand on him. Question is, could Williams take it?

I said it 4-5 years ago, I think Williams has what it takes to beat Mayweather.

Based on what I saw in his performance against Winky and how significantly he's improved in just about every facet of his game, the only way Paul would lose to Floyd is if making the 147 weight limit seriously affects him.

Considering he looked lethargic and slow against Quintana at 147, this is a distinct possiblity; however, I am now willing to dismiss that loss as due to Paul not being at his best, and honestly I would have to favor Paul over Mayweather.

Mayweather simply is not active or aggressive enough to beat Paul.

Let's put it into perspective: In order to beat Paul, Mayweather would have to win this fight on the inside, but unlike Floyd's past opponents, Paul could beat Mayweather on the outside if Floyd decides to play his usual role as a defensive counterpuncher.

If that's the case, than Paul wins this on output alone as he will undoubtably land a much higher number of punches, although at a lower percentage than Floyd.

Furthermore, if Mayweather fights like this, it is very likely that Mayweather may be overwhellmed by Paul's strength and eventually knocked out in the later rounds.

Considering a tiny man from some unknown island beat the **** outta Oscar from the moment the bell rang and took away Oscar's heart no matter how you wanna look at it, Floyd had Oscar on the verge of a heart attack after the 8th round, yet despite his uncle yelling at him to let his hands go, Floyd did not, and as a consequence earned a split decision in a fight that angered a lot of people who expected Floyd to do better.

This would be a fight that would determine if Floyd truly is a multidimensional fighter in the mold of Hoplkins because he will certaintly have to adapt and bring another element to his game against PW.

Then again, maybe 147 will make Paul weak and slow again, which honestly makes this a fair fight.

    Make the fight happen.

i also thought that williams was lethargic against quintana the 1st time round so if that had anything to do with making the weight then i think that can only work in floyds favour,

i still think PW would be too tall and punch far too hard for PBF to handle, but then again we might see yet another element of his game

id still have too go for PW by ud

PBF UD at 147, at 154 PW takes it. People are getting carried away here, yes PW pounded Wink but Wink was a shell of what he used to be.

No way Floyd wins this fight. I think for him to win he will need to be much more aggressive than usual. Plus Williams will not tire down the stretch like most of floyds opponets, and that punch output imo will be too much for floyd, williams doesnt care if he misses he just keeps punching. Williams by comfortable ud

Paul Williams by decision. This guy throws so many punches that even if most dont land, he should win the rounds in the judges scorecard. Pretty Boy will be on the defense all night long so i'll give P.Will a decision victory:good:good:good

    Where are the holes.

Cuz you're only retort is some **** about how you "own" someone which clearly means that you're from some rich suburban area and you are a fat kid that plays a lot of video games.

But where is your boxing knowledge aside from, I have a "collection" of fights.

I'm sorry, but until you actually start working out and start moving you'll never understand the game.

if PW uses his height and reach he could outpoint floyd i believe....but again PW always gives his height and reach up and fights close.....he does that with floyd he will pay dearly to the body.....this fight is a very good one i think PW has all the advantages but not the better boxing intelligence i believe Floyd would have a very solid game plan when comming into that fight which will make it very intresting....and no doubt he would tie PW up an awful lot to slow that pace down.....Pw is not accurate at all....so if u tie him up floyd has a very solid chance of decisioning him. its a close fight though would love to see it.

    Pbf SD

    Keys to victory for Floyd:

    1) Angles
    2) "fiddling and farting about" (ask Hatton)
    3) Ability at fighting in the pocket

    hmm says...
I go with Williams... we just saw him against a technically defensive fighter and I'm getting that strong notion that no matter how technical your defense is it can be overcome with an incredible volume of punches... I also think that all the opponents PBF faced and won off a split decision or close unanimous decision are hardly comparable to what Williams can bring..

I see PBF trying to counter and evade and trying to place his shots carefully. However Williams workrate and overwhelming number of punches, combined with reach and his decent speed will be a bit much for PBF too control and fight comfortably. I believe Wiliams will control that fight.

Mayweather. Even though Wright lost he exposed alot of holes in WIlliams defense that still havent been corrected. He can be countered, which WIlliams was able to do several times flush, he gives up his reach, not that great on the inside and I dont think simply having an incredible workrate is enough to beat a guy like Mayweather. I dont see much thats changed in Williams game since the Quintana fight.

Winky's and Floyd's defense are completly different. Winky stands right in front of the guy no head movement and just catches punches on the gloves. He allowed Paul to run 10-15 punch combo's on him sometimes only firing 2-3 shots back himself. Winky is a stationary target and isnt quick with his counters ,He lets you punch then fires back.

Against Paul you have to use your legs and counter(keep him turning, take steps to the right and left and take advantage of the openings he gives you.), he gives you countless opportunities to do so. He leans in and is off balance sometimes because of his footwork which also isnt that good. People dont seem to realise how hard it is to find Floyd with ONE SHOT nevermind being able to find him with regularity which nobody has ever been able to do.
