Prime for prime, I'd pick Tyson to beat both Lewis and Holyfield in very tough contests. Lewis could have knocked out a fairly shot and too heavy Tyson earlier than the 8th, but respected his power, staying away and boxing from the outside. Prime Tyson before his exile would have got inside Lennox's reach, landing some wicked body shots in the process and flooring him. Lewis would have his moments in the fight, perhaps hurting Tyson and maybe flooring him with a straight right or uppercut, but prime Tyson gives him trouble and stops him around the 9th or 10th round. Holyfield would be brave and tough, perhaps out-boxing Tyson for a few of the early rounds. Evander would still fall under the pressure of Tyson's body shots, but I'd bet on Holyfield surviving the 12 round distance against Tyson as opposed to Lewis for disciplinary reasons. Lewis has had lazy moments in his career against more than a few opponents, and he wouldn't be as lucky against a prime Tyson. Where Shannon Briggs, Frank Bruno and Ray Mercer failed against Lennox, Tyson wouldn't fail. As for Lewis vs Holyfield, we all know that Lennox was robbed in the first fight, and I don't believe the rematch was as clear a victory as many on this forum have stated. Evander had Lennox hurt more in the rematch than he was himself, and the inside body work by Evander might have been missed in the scoring. Either man could beat the other and I see it like Evander's three fight series with Riddick Bowe.
Holy never faced someone like Tyson, and Bert Cooper came damn close to stopping Holyfield early. Not the same as actually doing it of course, but no one is saying that Smokin Bert is Mike Tyson either.
Doesn't change the fact that no one stopped him early in his prime nor afterward. Holyfield as the better track record at surviving than Tyson does and no amount of finagling is going to change that......
Holyfield beats Tyson by stoppage - pretty much how their first fight panned out. Lewis beats Tyson by stoppage - ditto, pretty much the same, though slightly closer rather than a brutal ass whooping. Lewis vs Holyfield...... hmmm..... I'd stick my neck out and say Lewis by split decision. However if Evander could make Lennox fight his fight, as he did pretty much throughout their second fight, I wouldn't rule out a decision in his favour.
Tyson and Holyfield I call a toss up. I think prime Lewis beats prime Tyson about 7 out of 10 times. And I think Prime Lewis beats prime Holyfield about 6 out of 10 times.
holyfield - tyson. Tyson ko 9. Holyfield will stand and trade with Tyson. He will prove he has a lot of hart and dose not fear him, but that dose not mean he will win. tyson - lewis. One minuet I like Tyson the next I like Lewis. I'm going to go with Tyson because 2/3 serneros that play out in my head favor Tyson. I expect Lewis to fight a smart fight. Using his size advantage to stay on the out side. Tyson will use his speed to try to get in punching range. If Tyson gets inside he will win by ko. If Lewis can hold yson off for 12 rounds it gets interesting. Tyson's style impersies Judges. Look up the scores from the Smith and Douglas fights and you will see what I mean. Inother words eneless Lewis reminds the judges of Nicolino Locche it is likly that they will give the benefit of the dobut in close situtions to Tyson. holyfield - lewis. Lewis is a better boxer than Holyfield. Lewis by decision.
I love mike but I believe Holyfield just simply had his number - Holyfield 11 Rd tko Lennox Lewis against Mike Tyson is a 50 - 50 fight Lennox's size , power and techcinal skills against Mike's speed , power and peek a boo style that was very diffcult to handle it a pick em fight but I'll go with Tyson to win a tough but with tyson using his coming in from side to side to slip lewis jab and using his greater hand speed to land his power shots, Tyson by late fight tko in a tough fight. I think this is a hard fight to call becuse I personally do think Lennox beat a past his best Holyfield but at the same time Holyfield never showed us anything in his fights with lewis to say he could get past lewis's advantage's in size and strength . so I'm going to put it to you this way I think if Lennox and Evander were natutally the same weight I would defiantly pick Holyfield to win a tough but deserved decision, but at heavyweight I favour Lennox to win a tough close fight but I give a peak Holyfield a great chance of winning. {i just like to say that I think Lennox Lewis is great fighter and just because I'am picking against him in some of the fights above does not mean I have anything against him because I actually like him a lot. }
