Who's a better all round fighter, Pacquao or Calzaghe?

HOPKINS CAN MAKE ANYBODY LOOK BAD

    Barrera, stylewise, IS NO HOPKINS.

If a smaller Hopkins existed, he would have whooped on Pacquiao. And I'm 100 percent Flip.

The question is who has the better all-around skills. It's obvious that it's Calzaghe.

Calzaghe can fight sideways forward backward whenever and still pull out a win, even if his opponent is a stinker of a defensive fighter. He can slap, counter, brawl, infight, box, swarm, feint, etc. etc. etc.

Pac isn't anywhere near that. BUT Pac is getting there. Only recently has Pac even learned how to use feints. Calzaghe can feint with his body alone.

Even if you hate Calzaghe, you have to admit that he has better all-around skills. This isn't even a question about accomplishments. Cal had to be more skilled because he lacked power in his late career. Pac never had that problem.

But yeah, Pac is P4P better.

Pac has a FAR better skillset than Calslappy. This shouldn't even be a question and once they've both been retired for a while, it won't be. Pac will rank far ahead of Joe in the ATG list. Joe might not even make the ATG list, given that he avoided all dangerous competition until he was on the verge of retirement.

Cal didn't have Pac's power, didn't have his speed, could maybe equal him in movement and chin. In short, there is nothing Cal does better than Pac, and there are plenty of areas where Pac is superior to Cal.

Cal not have Pac's speed? This bull is the same as Arum saying Pac is faster than Ali. OF COURSE HE'S FASTER THAN THEM. HE'S A FRIGGIN SMALLER WEIGHT GUY.

Understand the question. P4P Pac is better. Accomplishments, Pac is better. But if you look at it objectively, there is NO WAY in hell that Pac has a better skillset or is a better all-around fighter than Calzaghe.

But how can you know for sure?

Pacquao has looked good beating fighters that are massively superior than those on Calzaghe's record, you could even argue that Hatton is just as good, if not better, than Kessler.

Well, thank God the poll turned out in Pac's favor, or I'd be out of here!

Its obvious who is the better all round FIGHTER...Its Pacquiao. He punches...JC slaps. Thats lousy technique for boxing. Pac throws beautiful punches.

    End of story.:deal

And you could just as easily say that if a bigger Barrera existed he would have whooped Calzaghe. You see, this type of argument works both ways.

Fact is, Pacquiao has fought better fighters than Calzaghe did and has often looked impressive doing it.

If DLH wanted a fight with Williams. That same old DLH. Williams would have NO DOUBT agreed. :hey He wouldn't have thought about it twice.

You think he would have said "oh let me find a lesser known, fresher fighter DLH, you are too old"?. :rofl
