Sorry, but fighting Hopkins is not comparable to fighting Mayweather, not a chance!!

Having a lot of balls doesn't mean you have achieved a lot. Look at Gatti.

No no no, Collazo was not a champion. He had a belt but he was not a champion. This is not about Gatti anyway, this is about you saying balls equate to achievement which is incorrect.

If Hatton had beat PBF then this is a debate, but Calzaghe has clearly achieved far more.

His resume is better than Hatton's also, as well as obviously being on another level ability wise. Guys like Reid, Mitchell, Sheika and Brewer are also underrated when looking at his resume. The same can't really be said of the average or over-the hill opponents Hatton faced before the Tszyu fght.

I don't think Hatton is helping himself with his blatant ducking of Junior Witter either.

Joe Calzaghe, but not by a great deal. Just because beating Tzsyu was such a good win. Take that out and it would be Calzaghe by a distance.

Take Kessler out and it's not a debate either.

It's very close. But I'd give Hatton the edge at this stage. And with Hatton having 6 years on Calzaghe (Not that he'll fight for all 6) when you compare Hatton's resume at 35 years of age with Calzaghe's resume aged 35, Hatton will be even further ahead.

Hatton will not fight past 30 so he will never get near Calzaghe's resume now.

Pre-Tszyu, name me the top 3 fighters Hatton has faced and they won't compare to Calzaghe's pre-Lacy.

    Of course he'll fight past 30, he's 29 now.

Hatton was 27 when he fought Tszyu, Calzaghe was 34 when he beat Lacy. You'd expect him to have a better resume at this point, because Calzaghe has been fighting in his prime years. Hatton's had his biggest fights with the Tszyu fight and afterwards.

But Hatton got beaten in humiliating and one-sided fashion, like a journeyman or a warm up fight. You think this is something to put on you resume :huh

    Joe, by a far way...

Beaten better opponents for a start. That aside, most importantly he's shown boxing skill and dedication that Hatton could only dream of matching. He fights like a true warrior, and has little need to hug

    Is yuri Boy an ATG?

Aaaand Hatton has no right to call himself a 'two-weight world champ' until he rematches Luis Collazo like he said he would :good

Through 6 rounds, Hatton had held his own, that's despite the ref doing his best to stop him.

Then Hatton got irate with the referee, lost his head and fought a stupid fight.

He stepped up in weight to fight the best fighter of his generation and held his own with him for a while despite a very poor refereeing performance.....I think Hatton can be proud of himself.

    Dedication?

If everybody was like Joe, we'd never have any big fights because they'd all have 'poorly hands and a poorly back'
