No one in their right mind would pick floyd over margo. One can easily pick Floyd over Cotto as Cotto has never shown strengths in clinches while Floyd has.
Floyd is faster no doubt, But Tonys work rate makes up for that, he throws three times as many shots as Floyd does, and Floyd though he does have speed he also likes to take breaks during the fight and lays on the ropes. Honestly I see a repeat of the Cotto fight when the two fight each other. it will be the same thing, Floyd will have his game plan will try to stick and move but towards the last third of the fight his conditioning would have failed him. Margarito puts you in a position of which you have to fight, he has done this with everybody he has fought win or lose, Floyd will find himself in that position and Floyd will have no other choice but to fight even when he doesnt want to, and that is what will win the fight for Tony he will make Floyd work
I can see a few different scenarios for this fight but most people who know this sport would argue that "Floyd's conditioning failing him' is about as unlikely as anythign I've ever heard....:nono
The reason you say that now is becuase Floyd hasnt fought anybody like Margarito which is why you beleive other wise, Trust me the moment Floyd finds himself in a real fight in which he has no other choice but to fight every moment of 12 rounds, he will fold, Tony is the guy that will push him to the limits and beyond and I really beleive this is one of the many reasons Floyd doesnt fight him. Honestly just how do you beat Margarito? Paul Williams found a way and with all the advantages paul did have in the fight he barely won it, he threw 1200 plus shots and was limited to a very low connect % and this is supposed to be against a guy with Zero defense right? Paul is also the longer taller man with the southpaw advantage and still he barely got the Win in that fight, Floyd is none of that so I dont see or understand how some of you claim that Floyd would win a wide clear UD, when Floyd didnt even get that in his fight with DLH.
